"Corrupt"?

Not exactly sure what constitutes a "corrupt" program, but here's my query:

When updating Malwarebytes (Free) on this PC, it seems to update, but then, and just as an old habit, I usually go right back in on protection programs to double-check, and attempt to update again - just to make certain I see a message (to the effect): 'You already have the most up-to-date detections' or, 'You have the latest version' - whatever it says.

But now (lately), when I update Malawarebytes, and do my double-check procedure, it loads the update again - as if I never got the first one.

Should I uninstall/reinstall here - or should I be looking for something else please?

Best guess is they updated the software after you updated the software.... try again. What is the version in About?

Ooops - egg on my face - again.

It was a Firewall issue (I think).

I recently switched FW's, and was trying to update in admin when the problem was occurring (which is a bit curious in-and-of-itself - no?).

When I went over to my limited account and updated, it "took" (said I had now gone from version "-0-" to version "1738").

This is odd to me. I'm tellin' ya, I've got this PC so mixed-up. Some things will update from the limited account, and some demand that I use admin to update.

In "About" is says: "Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware 1.33".

1.33 is correct, just updated and scanned my desktop.

Oops. Well, I tried to fix that - and thought that I did, and am now attempting to capture a screenshot (that I supposedly just recently "learned" how to do) - to no avail, as of yet.

Should be the box in User CP>Edit Options, labeled: "Enable Private Messaging" - correct? It's checked.

*EDIT* - no, it appears to be some other box in some other section, that I have now also allowed " - "Additional Options">Send Message to Non-Contacts>Send messages to users even if they are not on your contact list.

Perfectly alright, I'm not either - I'm too broke to pay attention. :-D

    So it's "Version 1.33" and "Database 1738" - currently - correct?
