Cannot log in to user account

This morning when I turned on my computer and chose my user account, it got as far as "loading personal settings" and then it just sits there. I can log into my son's account without a problem. I can get into my account if I start in safe mode. I've run Spybot and SuperAntiSpyware and fixed the things that showed up. I set up a new account and then tried to copy the old account like one of the posts here at majorgeeks said you could do. It will only get so far in copying things and then I get a message that says "cannot copy index: The requested operation cannot be performed on a file with a user-mapped section open." I have to click ok and then everything stops. Is there a way to repair whatever is wrong with my account or to get it to transfer everything to my new account? Thanks for your help.

Here is my computer information in case it's needed: Dell Inspiron 530, 3GB Ram, Windows XP S3

 

I'd start by running all the steps in the malware removal guide, and take care of all of that first.

 

This is going to sound like a dumb question but when I run those under this new account does it work for all the accounts on the computer? Will it be checking the old account too?

 

if you cant get into the old acct, then just run them from the new one...

you should probably start a new post in the malware section, or a forum mod can move this there so the malware fighters can catch them
