    I can't get rid of the older versions of java(SEv.1.4.2_03) using the add/remove programmes.Everytime I try I get the message that a fatal error occurred during instalation.

    This is a Software issue not Malware so I will move to the Software Forum. In the meantime, you can download the trial version of Your Uninstaller! and uninstall this way.

    Once they have all been uninstalled, you can click on the link below to download the most recent version.

    Thanks for editing my post Halo. I looked at MajorGeeks first but could not find that tool. Hopefully, I will remember that anything worthwhile is hosted somewhere on MajorGeeks download pages. ;)
