Forum Names!

Just curious! I've seen alot of 'unique' names on this forum and was just wondering how you arrived at it? One I'm particulary curious about is Major Attitude. I've probably read 99.9999% of his posts and have yet to see any form of 'attitude,' major or minor. Sorry MA, but you are at the top of my list!! There are many, many others too numerous to list, so do you want to share the origins of your forum name?

 

Stephen means crown in greek. so kingsteve i guess. im not greek though :cool

i actually just started calling game identities kingsteve, and later found out stephen means crown. so yeah. Hi.

Oh, to get back on topic, my RL nick is augie and I liked the cartoons when I was a kid. There ya go, nothing earth shattering here.

 

I used to have two cats, Felix and Sgt. Tibbs. My primary screen name is Felix4067 (cat's name + house number...never taken by anyone else), but for a while I was moderating another tech site and they were...finicky...about us being on other sites, so I used my other cat's name instead to join. I think this site and one other are the only ones I still use it, the rest have all gone by the wayside.

 

I always get questioned about mine because people think it means something it doesn't. It comes from a job I had before, I was in the maintenance department in a small manufacturing plant. With it came lots of welding. One guy would always tell me, "Real mean weld buck nekid." whenever he would see me. After awhile everyone was saying it and it just stuck.

 

Same reason halo posted, couldn't think of a SN when i was signing up.
Wildwolf because of a programme about wolves that was on the telly at the time, and 220 because i had won that amount on a football bet that day

 

I'd just finished a good book! Rex Nocte means 'King of the Night' in Latin and I thought it was cool. I can't remember how I made RexNoctis out of that, probably a drunk misspelling! It does seem to be fairly unique though, I tend to use it as a username for most places and rarely get refused.

I also managed to get my real name as a GMail account! :-D

I made it up. And then added the 2 when it was taken on a website. It's stuck with me forever now.

 

Got a 60# mutt named Fred G. Dog. Most sites won't let you use spaces. :-D

i used to play EVE online (just recently quit) and i used this name for about 3 years, its kinda stuck with me =P (also if anyone here plays eve, mail surfins plunderbunny and tell him i said hes a ninny :-D)

 

I was watching The Mighty Boosh and Nanageddon was on and it was the scene when they were talking about "The Crunch" and i found it hystericaly funny when he said "You know nothing of The Crunch!" I also used to be nifty on good old CSS and when it came to "The Crunch" there were none as much of a fluke as me
The "Teh" came from being a fan of Pure Pwnage and my old gaming name Teh_Benze which is another story all together:-D

Mine was tagged on me by my wife. She used to kid me a lot about playing the video games in a clan online years ago. One day she was talking on the phone with a friend of hers who asked where I was. (At the time I was a leading-edge of the envelope Gynecologic Laparoscopic Surgeon). She blurted out to her friend, "He's out in the back yard, sharpening his Gensuknives!"

It has been my name ever since. I started calling her "SHEWHOMUSTBEOBEYED" and she loves it. Gives her a sense of power. As an old gynecologist, I can tell you, WOMEN love the power. heh heh heh

 

I had this whole story planned out about how I came up with my username but the more I think about it the more I think I actually stole it from my sister :-D

Mine comes from an old Boomtown Rats track, Joeys on the street again, a fabulous song. Supposedly a true story about a bit of a rebel type in Ireland named, surprisingly enough, Joey. Held in awe by the local kids, he eventually settled down, started a family and got a job. Often in trouble with the law, he would hit the street (hence the title). He obviously grew bored of this lifestyle and one day upped sticks, to where, no one knew. Then a rumour circulated that 'a crazy stranger had been found lying among the rocks'. Whether it was Joey or not is unclear. I just hoped that he got his life sorted and got off the street.

When I started on MG, it insisted I have a "name" to join. Since my other "netname" I had placed in semi-retirement, I was having difficulty finding a suitable moniker. The alternative was I decided I was bored........

My name is chosen because I come from a family of Noble Birth.... I cannot say who....but I am here enjoying MG's just the same

 

Mine is easy, has nothing to do with my name. It's my sons nickname. Yeah boring but it is what it is...

 

my comes from the pretty large burning monkey I have tattooed on my back. figured it was kind of fitting.
