Spyware Doctor can't remove these infections...

    I did a full scan using Spyware Doctor and it found 109 spyware possible hijackers. I can't remove them, it says that they were quarantined but I don't see the entries in the quarantine archive. I have included the latest report for today's scan. The PC is working perfectly I just want these things gone before they actually do cause a problem.

    Nevermind. I figured it out. I forgot Spybot locks the host files as read only. As soon as I went in and unlocked them the spy software came right off. LOOOL!!

    Spyware Doctor was wrong. Those were added to your hosts file to protect you from those bad websites. Anything going to 127.0.0.1 is being looped back to your PC to prevent access to the bad URLs. So all Spyware Doctor did was unprotect you! You need to reimmunize with Spybot to put the protection back in.

    I think it's back in already because when I finished with Spyware Doctor I opened Spybot and reimmuninzed just out of habit. It had exactly 109 entries in the Global (Host) category. I'll run another full scan with Spyware Doctor later on today to be sure.

    Each time you run Spyware Doctor, it will just falsely detect the same entries after you have immunized. They just don't know the difference between malware being redirected to localhost to protect you and real malware.;)
