I can't even be a PC gamers...

I tried Vista & Windows XP. All my games crash, with this strange color from : Blue, White, Gray, Red or Orange. I won't even play the game, I'll click start and that's the color I get. I'm at 46 c on my GPU, that's not hot at all. My friend is running 60c, he's not getting any problems but I can't even start a game. My wife starts sims 2, it either goes to a color and locks up or does it half way through. All my drivers are updated, I have a new motherboard, processor and the works.

The only thing I'm using from my older machine " 260 gtx and my memory ". I don't get what is going on, I never had this problem ever in my life. I would like to know how to resolve this problem. Does anyone know the potential of the problem?

 

So, we'll pretty much need all the specs from your computer before we can really diagnose the problem, but it might be a bad graphics card.

8 gbs of Corsair DDR2
Ultra MX3 800 watt Modular
2x dvd roms
Cool Master HAF case (5 big fans)
Nvidia 260 gtx

 

Run a DxDiag 3d test if this crashes your display again you know you have a hardware failure. It's possiblity your onboard video card fan has failed, is it possible for you to re-focus your cooling fans directly onto the video card temporarily?

 

My GPU is at 38c man, my friend is at 60c. He hasn't had this problem, I have new hardware, so Im don't know if it's my VC or my memory. Thanks, I'll try the DxDiag 3d test. Also, I have a Cool Master HAF case. Look it up, it's somewhat hard to explain it.
