While downloading an update to my video driver I stumbled into a nasty virus, Win32 Huer. I have done the Read & Run Me First but AVG is still telling me I am infected. Please bear with me since this is the first time I have ever attached logs. The Combofix log was straight forward but the MSlog, is a zip folder with many items inside so I have attached the entire folder. If this is incorrect please let me know and give me instruction on how to attach what you need to help me out.

Thank you for your time and patience.

Wow! Either I have done something wrong or you guys/girls are really busy. I don't mean to sound impatient but I had hoped to have at least one answer this morning. Still limping around trying to rid my computer of this virus.

    Hello, jumpforjoy!

Yes - we are very busy!

You didn't attack any logs for us to review and be adviced that both SAS & MBAM have new version releases. Uninstall SAS > run CCleaner > download and update the latest version. Also - update MBAM.

You need to attach (See: HOW TO: Attach Items To Your Post ) the below logs created by running the requested scans
    • SASlog.txt log from SuperAntiSpyware.
    • Malwarebytes Anti-Malware log
    • ComboFix.txt (normally C:\ComboFix.txt)
    • MGlogs.zip - normally it is C:\MGlogs.zip - only attach this log from MGtools.exe DO NOT attach any logs seen in the MGtools folder.
    • Be patient after posting your logs and wait for one of the helpers to get to you. It can take a while to read thru all of the logs and to create individual fixes for you.

Thanks for getting back to me. I am not sure how the logs did not get attached since I know I "browsed" for them. At this point it is a moot point, my computer seems to be caught in a loop and I can not get past the "Log on to WIndows" screen. When I click ok it says that it is loading my personal settings but then I get the shut down sound and a message that says "saving personal settings" comes up and then I am back to the "Log on to Windows" screen.

It does this even when trying to start in safe mode.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

    :(

Since you are having problems loading the OS - I suggest that you post in the Software Forum for remedies and return here when you are able to provide the scanner logs.

    * However - a good starting point for you would be to follow the instructions in this link:

    Gook Luck!
