What is your favorite word?

Mine is Specificity - the quality or state of being specific.

 

"xanthochroi"

and

"foofaraw"

just because they're hard to pronounce

 

spicket.... don't know why. Just like the sound of it.

Gramma...b/c my Gramma was the most wonderful woman I have ever had the privilege to know and b/c I love hearing it when my grandkids run toward me with arms out stretched yelling "Gramma Teresa! Gramma Teresa!"

I like the word 'bamboozled'. To be confused beyond repair! It is a fun sounding description and isn't serious

I like the word 'Click' used by military forces as in the enemy patrol is two 'Clicks' east which is a distance of just over half a mile.

Its gonna take allot more thinking to get my favorite of all time.

Actually niggles me,I even heard people use actually and actual in the same sentence "Actually its not that part thats causing the actual problem."

 

I know this is an old thread now, and it's been put to bed and all.. But I just noticed a word I wanted to share with everyone. On an Air compressor that works standing up and laying down, it's got "Verti-Zontal" on the side.. thought that was interesting.

 

dank is my favorite word.

 

i like the word sh*t. its so versatile and fits in almost every sentence.

I would have to say that mine is "MOIST" for a most twisted reason.. every time I say it, I find yet another person who's grossed out by it.

its kinda ordinary, but i love it when u get in the right situation, maybe people have been discussin for a while - and u just say 'chill' .... sometimes they lose it, sometimes they just laugh, its interesting - but damn its hard to nail down a word, i can't even think of most ones i use on a regular basis

 

Mine is hemidemisemiquaver (in music, 1/64 of a note.) Not because it's a beautiful word but because it makes me smile when I think of what such a pointlessly long word it is, for what it means.
