Unlike at other message boards, the only people allowed to help those with malware problems are those that are approved by the admin in that forum, Chaslang. The method of removal here is the same for everyone and is extremely effective. The reason only approved malware fighters are allowed in there is it decreases the confusion for the poster asking for the help and ensures they will not get poor/wrong advice that could cause even more problems or at a minimum waste their time.

You will find that you are able to offer help in all other forums though.

In the malware part of our forum if you are not the original posted of that thread you are trying to post into you wont have permissions, our Malware forum is special in that you have to be an authorised user to post into this section, or a very capable user in removing malware*. If you are interested in malware removals and a competent user in fixing Windows OS issues then best to answer questions in Software, Hardware forums so that the malware/admin team can judge your level of expertise.

Reason we changed the policy of anyone replying to malware questions was that it became a mess/confusing when multiple users posted their advice, theories and general "I had this virus" comments, sadly a fair amount of what is posted to aid removal of malware was wrong and could have made matters worse. Which is why as you will agree its best to have continuity in helping someone remove malware from their PC, especially with malware and being infected is very stressful on the person infected.

Our malware experts are very good at what they do and follow a set of guides and steps to amke the removals process as quick and easy as possible, they are very good at this.


*Is determined by our resident specialist Chaslang and after a series of tests to judge your skills.



Very possible your solution may work great, but its always best to if malware is a potential cause of this persons issues, to remove all malware and some can be hidden unless you know the types of files and locations to look at (we have some unique tools for this) malware can still be on system to cause issues still. If its not a malware issue, we tend to move the thread to the software forum area and anyone can post their thoughts and fixes.

Hi it shouldnt, but some posts can get caught in the spam filter if not standard ways of typing and lots of .......... are used to split up text or text is not spilt into paragraphs as these are spammers tactics and our filter is very good at spotting this practice, but SADLY legitimate posts are sometimes caught, but will look in the moderated list and get to your post now.


Edit: now approved, sorry about that doing 6 things and once and forgot to have the moderated list up infront of me.
