I heard something called, "the monster" which was able to be used in a car very simply to make your MP3 player be under the control of your steering wheel controls,
    I looked and didn't find a thing

is there anything I can use to get my cheap MP3 player to be under the controls of my steering wheel controls? or will I need a new stereo for my car?

yes, but I dont have an IPOD, my MP3 player cost $20 or so and has a usb port and a headphone jack
what can I get with that and not an IPOD?
I hate IPODs as I am a button person and don't like IPODs that change volume and so much more because I swiped across the board to hard or too softly

Neo Car Audio is working on one for the Zune but currently there don't seem to be any options like you want for other portable media players

    I missed this,
I'd rather get a new stereo then deal with an IPOD I think.
