    Welcome to Major Geeks!

Please run MSconfig and put your PC into Normal Startup mode as requeted in step 1 of the READ & RUN ME.

Make sure that you shutdown Ad-Aware's Ad-Watch before doing the below to avoid having it get in the way.

Run C:\MGtools\analyse.exe by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator). This is really HijackThis (select Do a system scan only) and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:

    O2 - BHO: WormRadar.com IESiteBlocker.NavFilter - {3CA2F312-6F6E-4B53-A66E-4E65E497C8C0} - C:\Program Files\AVG\AVG8\avgssie.dll (file missing)
    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {4E7BD74F-2B8D-469E-CCB0-B130EEDBE97C} - (no file)
    O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {4E7BD74F-2B8D-469E-CCB0-B130EEDBE97C} - (no file)
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SearchSettings] C:\Program Files\Search Settings\SearchSettings.exe
    O20 - AppInit_DLLs: buwzfk.dll

    After clicking Fix, exit HJT.

Now we need to use ComboFix to remove a bunch of malware files.
    • Make sure that combofix.exe that you downloaded while doing the READ & RUN ME is on your Desktop but Do not run it!
      • If it is not on your Desktop, the below will not work.
    • Also make sure you have shut down all protection software (antivirus, antispyware...etc) or they may get in the way of allowing ComboFix to run properly.
    • Open Notepad and copy/paste the text in the below quote box into it:
    • Save the above as CFscript.txt and make sure you save it to the same location (should be on your Desktop) as ComboFix.exe
    • At this point, you MUST EXIT ALL BROWSERS NOW before continuing!
    • You should have both the ComboFix.exe and CFScript.txt icons on your Desktop.
    • Now use your mouse to drag CFscript.txt on top of ComboFix.exe
    • Follow the prompts.
    • When it finishes, a log will be produced named c:\combofix.txt
    • I will ask for this log below
    Note:

Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it is running. That may cause it to stall.

    Now run Ccleaner!

Now again make sure Ad-Watch is shutdown and then run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator).

    Then attach the below logs:
    • C:\ComboFix.txt
    • C:\MGlogs.zip
Make sure you tell me how things are working now!

Thank you for helping. I still have the same problem, my ad watch still detects the win32.trojan.agent. My task manager is also blocked. Thanks again.

You have some new infections that were not here last time. Make sure that you do not insert any CDs, removable drives (like USB devices of anykind) into this PC since they may be the source of reinfection. Your drive F is showing up as a source of infections. Looks like you have this infection: http://vil.nai.com/vil/content/v_150407.htm

Notice that it will infect all executable files. So a reinstall could be in your near future.

First thing you need to do is disable Ad-watch to avoid having it get in the way of the below steps. Also you need to disable Kaspersky for the same reason. Some of the fixes did not work last time and this may have occurred because Ad-watch and Kaspersky were active.

    Uninstall the below software:
    Search Settings

Run C:\MGtools\analyse.exe by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator). This is really HijackThis (select Do a system scan only) and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:

    R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {E312764E-7706-43F1-8DAB-FCDD2B1E416D} - (no file)
    O2 - BHO: WormRadar.com IESiteBlocker.NavFilter - {3CA2F312-6F6E-4B53-A66E-4E65E497C8C0} - C:\Program Files\AVG\AVG8\avgssie.dll (file missing)
    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {4E7BD74F-2B8D-469E-CCB0-B130EEDBE97C} - (no file)
    O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {4E7BD74F-2B8D-469E-CCB0-B130EEDBE97C} - (no file)
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SearchSettings] C:\Program Files\Search Settings\SearchSettings.exe
    O7 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System, DisableRegedit=1
    O20 - AppInit_DLLs: buwzfk.dll

NOTE: HJT may popup an error about the AppInit_DLLs line. Ignore it and click OK to continue.

    After clicking Fix, exit HJT.

Also delete all files and subfolders in the below folders except ones from the current date (Windows will not let you delete the files from the current day).
    C:\WINDOWS\Temp
    C:\Documents and Settings\Raffles\Local Settings\temp

    Now run Ccleaner!

Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator).

    Hi!
Thanks for your help! I just got frustrated so I just reformatted my whole computer. It keeps popping out all the time.

I'm not sure what you mean by this. If you mean the infection keeps coming back after a format, it is probably because you are reinstalling from infected backups. The link gave you tells you that all executable type files get infected by this infection. Thus, if you had backed up anything that was an executable type file (anything you had downloaded) and then reinstalled/reused it......well that is why your infection reappears.
