Geez, that looks like my South African friend's boxer with that coloration. It's a bit early for bees yet up here but the peepers in the lake are extremely loud in their romantic endeavours.:-D

But of course my dear, I was just surprised that they looked very similar. I'm used to seeing a tan or brown boxer, not this variegated colouration, but then I'm not a freak on breeds, all my dogs were mutts.:) Oh BTW, his name is Bozee, also you'll see on the pic name that is nick is poop.:-D

That is a close up, but that is a big carpenter bee. They are about an inch long and they are fat.

Maybe not, but it's perfectly accurate for the first year, a veritable poop machine!:-D Thanks for the term.:)

Nice pictures Laura, Oscar is cute, and yes re carpenter bees they're out in swarms at work due to a wood trellis that covers the side of one building, we breed them :(

Thanks Cat. :) He's my baby.

lmao at breeding the bees. My youngest daughter has always been somewhat facinated by bugs. One year, she decided she was going to have a pet carpenter bee. I guess they Do look all fuzzy and stuff. LOL Anyway, I'd walk out and there she would be, petting this bee. *shakes head* I told her it was going to bite her (I'm pretty sure they don't sting, but anything that can bore through wood has to have some powerful jaws). Don't you know a couple of days later she comes in crying. Her 'pet' bit her. I don't think he lived long past the bite. :-D

Those things will dive bomb you too. Freaky things.

No one else has any pics?:(

In my experience, dogs only act the way they are brought up. If a dog is trained or treated mean, it will turn out mean. We had a Staffordshire bull terrier for 15 years. Everyone was wary of him, but he was the biggest soft sook who would bark for 30 seconds then lick you for three days.

Gorgeous photos BTW, Laura (and Rikky). I never even considered getting a camera before now, but you've inspired me. Things look positive at work. Hoping to be back to five days and overtime next month, then I'm off shopping for cameras, wine and cheese.:hyper

Oscar still has the same face as when he was a puppy.
Think I told the story before about delivering flowers after I closed up shop to a home that had the tallest fence I've seen. Had a couple or few boxers they jumped so high I could see them. Straight up to like 7 feet, unbelievable.

Yep. Pitbulls have a horrible reputation but are in actuality good, intelligent dogs that are made by some to be aggressive. Boxers, I've found, don't have a mean bone in their very muscular bodies. I'm not sure about others, but Oscar doesn't even have a protective bone...more like a really long tongue that he uses to lick anyone who's face gets too close.

Cameras are fun. I'm just learning still with the one I just got for Christmas. It's fancy and has way too many settings, but it takes great pics.

Over the snow, or the jacket? LOL

    Someone had to! heh

Yeah, they are huge jumpers. Luckily Oscar hasn't figured out that he could easily get over our 4 1/2 foot fence. :-D

    Did someone pic's:hyper
The first 3 are of my puppy who was a "Hand Me Down" of sorts. My sons' friend found him wandering around a tow truck yard he worked at playing with the chicks and rabbits they had in the back part. He(MSF)moved and got married and left "Arnold" ("MR" for short)with my son ,WHO, became an OT driver and here he is mom, please take care of him 'til I get home.
Needless to say that didn't happen for a while and I still have him. Wouldn't give him back anyway.
SD530903.jpg he can't hear well at all so he uses his sniffer & eyes there a lot
    SD530914.jpg Breed:pit-Boxer-Mastiff.
He likes to be in the center of everything and generally is: Hates;Flies,Loves(in a hunting way)anything that thinks it can out run him, which so far isn't anything around the house that he has encountered, yet.(except squirrels-they're on the other side of the fence."NOT" that he hasn't made an attempt to go over.:-D
SD530260.jpg Most Dangerous thing about him......His Tail! Ask my other half , he said one more time and he was getting a baseball cup for himself. Just don't get behind him when he is really in a good mood..OUCH!:-D

The last is my youngest granddaughter and one of their many cats. They both are at their best behavior in this shot.:-D

Thanks. When I seen your Oscar I couldn't believe it as the brindle and the white chest are the same as Arnold. Only Arnold has the pit shaped head mastiff nose and head size (BIG) and the bull chest and the hyper playfullness. I had to show my other half the pic of Oscar. He couldn't get over how good looking Oscar is.
I also like your sunrise picture. I love sunrise and sunset pics. I just like taking pics myself, but the best part is viewing them after you've taking them and enjoying them once the sun has come and gone.

Quite possibly the best picture I've taken, ever. It was shot with an old junky 1.3 meg digital! I was really surprised how it came out. Grainy, but made our cat, Ginger, look majestic.

Thanks Laura, the snails are my favourite too. And, with regards to the branches being in the foreground, I always like to do that as much as possible, think it makes it look pretty.
