Nice tips Mimsy, keep em coming! With regards to the liquid eyeliner, I have tried it, but I require a far more steadier hand that what I have. Dammit if I don't mess up every time rolleyes So I gave up and stuck to my trusty kohl pencil. lol Liquid eyeliner looks so sleek and elegant, I need to practice I guess. I like to apply eyeliner thickly on the bottom lids and a slight bit on the top..

    :cool me too!

Well, er, let's just say that it's taken me several months become good enough at liquid liner that it's actually worth my while to apply it. :-D

I'm more of a stealth goth these days. I'm trying to build myself a career in corporate America, and they frown on heavy black eyeliner. And on black lipstick. ;)

I'm getting makeup tips from goth girls??? :eek

    heh..jk

I'm not goth, but I love myself some eye makeup. The key to liquid eyeliner is practice....

and a makeup remover pen. LOL

Several hours after trying out the baking soda exfoliant, my face is not in any way upset at me. It did sting a bit when I applied it, and I didn't leave it on for as long as I perhaps could have, but I prefer to err on the side of caution with chemical exfoliants. I can feel on my face that it had an exfoliating effect, and I am very happy to report that I have yet to detect any itchiness or reddish blotches from it.

I will try this again in the near future. I have been looking for a mild exfoliant... anything that actually scrubs is too harsh for me.

Sounds great so far Mimsy. :) I don't leave the mixture sitting on my face though because I wash it off immediately.

lol...I suppose so...don't you just use black if you're goth though. :-D

What is goth exactly anyway? Just a love of all things black??

Assuming you're asking about appearances, no, not quite. Black dominates the color scale, at least as far as eye makeup and clothes go, but there's red, purple, white, green, pink, and other colors as well... really, I don't think there is a specific dress code.

There's a lot more to goth than appearance, of course.

So, in short, nonconformists, it seems.

    Interesting read.

Pretty much, yes. A mixed groups of nonconformists that have certain things in common that separates them from other similar groups, of course, since lacking those certain things would mean that goth wouldn't actually be a community/subgroup of its own. Such as black, and a fondness for what is considered weird by the rest of society. Overall, "non-conformist" is a good word to describe it.

I was going to make a new thread but then I thought, why not keep all the shallow self-centeredness in one single place? :-D So here you go, fellow makeup fans: How to get the very most out of your lipgloss!

    just an update :-D

went to doctor and got a load a pills for my face... Doctor said something about germs reacting to my skin lol ya think it's all that virus i'm in contact with on a daily basis? hehe...

apparently the side effects COULD include rash (rolleyes) sensitivity to sunlight (rolleyes) and a whole heap of other stuff. I can't eat food an hour before taking them, nor for an hour after... and further more I am unable to have dairy products an hour before or after...so that kinda put paid to my endless cups a tea. I'm not impressed.

I have 120 of the things here so I sure hope this starts to clear up now ... wish me luck lol

I've not had great skin for a couple years. But last few weeks have been hell. Can't be that I'm allergic to the makkeup I use as I've used it for years... who knows, it's just another dilemma :-D

Thanks darlene, I hope it clears up soon too!
    yes indeed I am :)
