WinXP Home SP3-No System Restore tab?

Under system properties, the system restore tab is missing. If I launch system restore and click on the 'system restore settings' link in the lower left pane, it opens up the Automatic Updates tab.

Any ideas?

Nope. I'm assuming it's in the system32 folder? And I can copy it over from a different healthy PC?

:-o Yeah, I was in a rush (or just lazy? rolleyes) and didn't do any of my own research. LOL

Bet you just were in a rush eh? Yeah, please let us know how you fixed it. See I'm learning this way as well. Never heard/read about SR losing it's tab prior to your posting. :-o

 

Thanks for the posting, I learned a lot. I have the same problem of losing the system restore tab and also I cannot edit the registry at all. I am going to try the items recommended in the "Links to Solutions". Thanks again
