Keeping your games running smooth

Apart from scanning for a virus and defraging the hardrive, anyone have any tips on what someone should do to keep their system and subsequently their games running smoothly?

 

Bearing in mind you need an AMD CPU to use it otherwise it's pointless. Also it does shut down you're antivirus software & Firewall, it can be very dangerous if you forget to turn them all back on before you surf the internet :-D
