What program is best?

I downloaded something to test it out. And now its on my destop. I want to know what program would be best for me to download so I can scan that file? I want to just scan that specific file tho.

Depending on what AV you use it can normally scan files on demand.

 

Well I download SuperMalewareBytes or whatever it is called and MalwarebytesAntiMalware And so far no specific function of (scan just 1 file). Its the whole computer or nothing.. But I was going to do PC Tools next. I am also on XP.

 

No MBAM will scan a specific file but it is primarily a malware cleaner and not a search unit.
If you right click the file you want to search you will get a list and one option should be " scan with "malware anti malware" or another is " scan with (whatever your AV is)" click on one of those and it will do the job.
