I just Googled and here is what I got for ya'.

To restore the games go to Control Panel, then Add / Remove programs. In
the new window go to Add / Remove Windows components, a new window will then
pop open if you double click on 'Accessories and Utilities' then go into the
'Games' folder and make sure they're all checked.

You can definitely do that, there's a chance (and I think this is the case) that you will need your windows install disk to get them back on there, but you should be fine.

    Hi

Can you explain and expand more, "getting it for startup"? is this that other Windows default applications are not working like Paint, Outlook Express, Notepad etc?

or is it the earlier fix helped with going to Windows Components and your having no issues now?

Yes them to, I got the internet games back, but not the others they're not in the folder. I ended up clicking on run and typing in Sol tare and it ended up coming up.

There's nothing in the Start up folder under games.

That's because games are listed: Start Button>All Programs>Games

If that does not seem to be the problem, then right-click the start button, and hit open. Now go to Tools>Folder Options>View. Now hit Show Hidden Files and Folders. Hit 'OK'. Now go into programs, and see if the Games folder appears. If it does, it's probably greyed out. Open the properties, and uncheck hidden. Undo the Tools option and Games should be back in the start menu.

I did the same thing (accidentally unchecked Accessories and Utilities) in the Add/Remove Windows Components box. The only problem is that i can't find my Windows XP install cd. How can i get those files back on my computer.
