can NOTcreate system restore

when i try to create system restore i get the message "system restore turned off by group policy. to turn on system restore, contact domain administer." So where do i find this domain administer and how do i contact him.

Where is the table you just referred to?? Am I missing some basic function that I didn't take enough time to read about? I ask because I have had major problems with Restore as well... can only get it to work inside of Safe Mode.

If you replaced your hard drive and mirrored the old one to the new one you may have to toggle system restore. Start Run services.msc. turn off system restore service and then turn it back on again. UPS also may not be running if you mirrored the drive. Should make a backup of your system in any case, even if it is done using the Windows back up program. System Restore is great, but has its limitations.

I am so glad I was bold enough to mention that your table was missing... since going over to Blackviper and your Intel there I found some of what I have been scurring hither thither and yon trying to glean for myself... Gee Plodr, just where were you when I was Growing Up??!
