I just came from my son's high school graduation and his school did a really fine job. I am so PROUD! He looked so tall and handsome and grown up! He's my only... I cried of course, the minute they started playing that great song Pomp and Circumstance- gets me every time! Thank god the people behind me were very vocal in their enthusiasm cause I felt totally ok with screaming my lungs out for Jack and his best friend and I DID! What a sigh of relief- his Dad, step-mom and I brought him this far so well, now the next adventure! The Marines! Oh my, he still looks little and cheery and tucked in to overalls and nappies to me! (Good thing he's never on this forum!):-o Congrats to all of you with graduates this month, and also to the ones getting married!

He's just not 'puter head like me!:-D Besides, he would have blasted me already for talking about him like he's a cuddly lil toddler.

Trouble is... he still SEEMS a cuddly lil toddler to me, all 6'0 of him! I was missing him one day and moaned "Oh god, what happened to that cute little round-headed kid...." My buddy looked at me and said "That was Charlie Brown, Kat, get over it." Had to laugh....

Know just what you mean. If my mom was still living, I'de still be her little boy.
My daughter is still my little girl, even though she made me into a grampa. Now my grand-daughter has added a great in front of grampa for me.
    (Where does the years go????)

Congrats on your son's graduation, Kat - you're right to be proud. If it's any consolation, in the not too distant future, the Graduation Night will be viewed with similar nostalgia as childhood. ~ Been there, done that...;)
