I have officially survived my first day back after a week-long vacation. Dear god above it was painful!

Yes, those were actual phonecalls. And people wonder why tech support reps drink so much off the clock... :wine <-- vodka

 

Oh... hey on another subject... (but still part of this "not good at waiting".)

When I get this problem fixed... anyone out there know how to fix satellite receivers?? :-D We are waiting on our SEVENTH replacement one in less than a year!! Good golly... don't you think we could have had gotten ONE by now that worked longer than a couple months???

Well, the only reason I'm giving them this one last chance is because I think #6 was damaged in shipping. (Should have seen the box... oh, wait, if you see my blog... it's there!)

The others were all because of different issues. Then they "upgraded" us from #4 to #5... & I was OH SO hoping that #5 was it... but alas, it failed too in about a month.

& #6... Well, it didn't last a week!!

What is it... do I have a target on my head or something???

I tell ya... this IS their last chance... for if we get another bad one... we are THROUGH with TV until Fall season premieres & football!! (I can watch what I want on the computer.... once it's all clean!!!)

So... does this help you all to appreciate why I am so ... uh... :hyper with this computer problem?! LOL

I'm 2nd level tech support. Which means that when you call in for technical support and the customer service person gets stumped, they will transfer you to me. Sadly, I also get all calls that select "installation help" in the voice menu when they call in...

I work for a RAM upgrades reseller, so on those rare occasions when I ever bother to post helpful things here at MGs, it tends to be in the hardware forum.

Lord yes. The mute button is my life-saver. Though honestly, more often it's derogatory comments about the brain power of the customer in question... if any of my co-workers ever want me fired, all they have to do is disable that function on my headset.

"A black Dell? And I have a white car... please fix the engine! I'm an ignorant moron who thinks outside appearances affect computer specs!" *gulp*" Um, er... I apologize sir! I meant to mute the phone! Er, I mean..., um..." *hits "release call"-button* "@#&*$!!! ... WHO DID THAT!?!?!?"

Okay, that's a SCARY thought. Note to self: Bring donuts to work soon.

When I start drinking, it's usually Scotch on the rocks(without the rocks). That makes me a mellow fellow.

 

Oh, yumm.... straight scotch is one of the best drinks ever invented. :drool
