Vista x64 wont recognize processor

Ok I have a foxconn am2+ ready mobo model number a7gm-s 2.0 and an amd phenom II quadcore 2.80ghz processor. But when I look at my computer properties it says amd processor model unknown? Is there a fix for this? I cant find any bios updates for it. does anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?

well go to amd or foxconn and sometimes there is a cpu driver. it has happened to me before.:-o i had windows 2k on a computer with a amd athlon x2 be-2300 1.9 ghz, it wouldnt reconize the cpu. when i inserted my motherboard disk there was a driver for it. hope this helps:cool

 

oh and make sure the motherboard is compatable with phenom ii am3/am2+:-D

 

Its serv pack 1. I overclock but through the catalyst control center for my radeon 4870, and I didnt overclock it til a month after I built. I have had this issue from the start. I am not sure how to change my settings in my bios, never really messed with my bios before
