Lost info when Publisher updates file

We are running mircosoft office 2000 on some computers on our network and 2003 on others. When we looked at a publisher file created on the 2000 at a 2003 workstation it automaticly upgraded the file to 2003 and some info was lost . . photos, formatting, etc.

Anybody got any suggestions on how to recover the older version of the file?

Hi there if you go to http://piriform.com know the people who gives us ccleaner they have a new tool called "recuva" use this to recover your lost files.
P.S please make sure you dowload it direct from piriform and not some muppets redirection site, have tried and tested this myself and it does the job.

So your pretty sure that the program you suggest could be used to "turn back the version" of the file to Publisher 2000?

In your original quote you didn't elaborate enough that's why i suggested you try recuva i thought you just wanted to restore lost files, not "turn back the version" of the file to Publisher 2000, so no i wouldn't think that recuva would do the job you required,but at least you know about a new piece of free software now anyway !
