I have heard ALOT of problems about this motherboard. most of which said that the mobo was doa when they first got it or was doa within a month. i also have heard rumors about the BIOS being a nightmare and the mobo being very picky about the ram you put into it. I looked at the reviews on newegg and saw that 30 people gave it 5/5 and 20 gave it 1/5 so this alarmed me. i told my dad this and he said not to trust those reveiws because they could be faulse and be posted by the "compitition" so wouldn't by the mobo. dad told me to ask the experts aka you guys on what i should do,s o i was wondering if you guys would enlighten me. or recommend a good mobo.

would like to get a mobo that supported. . .
    TWO GTX 260's
    socket 775 Core 2 quad Q9400
4 gigs of OCZ PC2 8500 platinum Edition RAM 2.2v (possibly 8 in the future)
and i have a antec true power 750 (this PS is good enough for this rig?)
    and 1T HD
    and lightscribe DVD RW
and dont worry about the case i have a CM 690

Asus used to be the best.
In the last 1 -1 1\2 years they've been turning out a lot of problem motherboards .
I would pass on the P5N72-T Premium .

If you already have, or just have to have 2 video cards I suggest the GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128358

I have the GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3R which is the single video card slot version.

If I ever feel the need for 2 video cards I will simply get a single 2X card which, from what I have read, actually performs better.
The draw back to that is if the video card fails you can't remove 1 & use the other.

Yes your power supply should be fine.
You actully have a very good one that should have enough power to run everything well.
It's my opininon that a lot of the bad reviews on newegg are from people that buy expensive components EXCEPT for the power supply.
The buy a cheap under powered PSU & it simply doesn't put out enough juice to run the unit.

If you are stuck buying local, "cash & carry", go to Ye Local Srore with a pencil & paper, write down what is actually available & do your research based on that.

As for not shopping online tell pops tu join the 21st. century.:-D

I can understand not wanting to buy outside of your country.
I'm in the US & only buy in the US.

There is a Newegg Canada though.

I don't know that board but I've been an ASUS fan forever, built some 30 systems with ASUS mobos. I'm currently on a P5Q-Pro, Q6600, 4 GB RAM and a pair of 9800GT though I did have an eVGA 260-216 in my CM690 case, plenty of room there.

Check out Tigerdirect.ca, they have 5 locations in ON though I don't know their proximity to London. Oh, as was said, you have a great PSU! Have fun!

"I've been an ASUS fan forever"

    I build,upgrade, & repair computers for a living.
For a long time all I used was Asus motherboards.
In the last year or so I have got so many bad Asus boards I pretty much quit buying them.
I now use mostly Gigabyte & some MSI .
Asus may have just hit a little rough patch but I don't like returing & waitimg enough to keep buying them. ;)

Well, the last one I bought was the P5Q-Pro last year, I'll defer to you as you are actively building and I'm not. I'll keep this in mind when I start researching for an i7 rig next year.
