How well behaved!! My sisters boxer (girl) would have chewed and swallowed half and spat the other half. She's quite the character and rules the roost amongst two older dobies!! Will get some pics, but be warned RUNT OF THE LITTER.

Laura, that picture is precious!! What did poor Oscar do that he felt he needed to bring you a flower? On a more personal note, I've seen your pictures and what do you do....walk around with a camera around your neck just waiting for the right picture?:-D Oh well, I think this picture of Oscar is one of your best...it really captures his emotions. Just look at those sad eyes!

Disclaimer: To whom it may concern...NO I am NOT after brownie points....just stating an opinionroflmao

LOL...He is pretty good, I have to say. Yes! Get some pics. I love seeing pictures. :)

Come on BOOM...you have to admit my I'm sorry thread is pretty cute! :p

:-D He's about as vicious as me.

    Thanks Stubby. :)

lol....my kids would say I walk around with it. The big joke is them sarcastically saying 'Look mom, you've gotta get a picture of that' and rolling their eyes. For every one picture I take that I think turns out ok, there are at least 20 that wind up in my recycle bin.

  7. Haha that is a brilliant photo :)

Very talented at your photography :)

That pic is great Laura; can't decide if Oscar is thinking "I'll do this for you but don't tell my friends" or "you owe me a steak for dinner" You really have an eye with a camera, I enjoy your pictures.

Now you have to tell me, did he take the flower or did you give it to him.... want to know what the look he's giving you is.

*Also you're a great addition to the Admin staff, they chose well.

    lol @ Cat

You got me. I gave it to him. That picture is about one of ten that I took of him chewing the thing. :-D

Thanks for the compliment about my photography. Where all the rest of the 'geeks' here want the latest and greatest HD or Vid card, I want a ridiculous expensive Macro lens for my camera. LOL

To redeem myself a bit though, I do also want a new laptop. ;)

I'VE BEEN HAD!!! The whole time I was thinking that poor Ole Oscar had done something wrong and now, I find out, it was a setup:-D How could you Laura...you impuned that dog's integrity, degraded his 'dog hood' and who knows what other mental damage you've done to that handsome animal:cry....all for a pictureroflmao Now I see why his eyes are so sad! Have you no shame:confused:-D

Still, all in all, setup or not, it's still one of your best!!;)

@Cat thanks for bringing this deceitful action to our attention. Appropriate measures will be taken!!

Great pic Laura! He looks so 'innocent', like, "Not me, I didn't touch your flowers!" I like to caption them. LOL

Puir wee dug. Made to perform in front of the cameras for the entertainment of his mistress. Seriously, that is a great picture. The wife loves it. She said it looks like a picture of me. Cheeky git. She's another one off my Christmas card list.

@ Hrlow That's right keep that boy in line so he has a little more time on earth.:-D but then again I strongly feel "SHE" has his choker tight.roflmaod

@ Stubby I have to correct you on something about JOTS. If there are no Brownies you can't lose them. JOTS can never hold on to his brownie points long enough to actually have them.:p:-D

That dog is adorable, your picture/s fantastic.
That would make a cute greeting card cover. Come to think of it I used to put home made cards in my shop. Some were a bit costly, being in an artist community. Something to think about.

LoL! Nice pic. of Oscar, (is that a Gerbera he's holding?). Looks like it would make good cover pic. for a get well card. or something.;)

    lol...thanks darlene and Phantom! :) It's actually a zinnia.

I'd love to do some cards. I was actually (very briefly) looking up how to do something with my photos like that. Make note cards for maybe a specialty shop. It would have to be cost effective though. I wouldn't mind breaking even, but I don't want to pay to sell something. LOL I'll have to maybe look into software.

    Always.

@ Laura. Why don't you try creating a calendar or something? Those images are something that are unique to you and the area. It can't be that difficult. A friend of mine, his boy is at college doing a photography course and has produced the only calendar of Berwick for the last few years using local landmarks. This he does in his own time, and he sells more and more every year. Getting himself a bit of a rep. They must be pretty cost effective as he sells them for only a fiver and makes a profit. Go figure.

Good to know Joey. I'll look around at software. I can get things like that made through my photo developer (snapfish), but they're the one making the profit.

Oh, sorry, too late to edit my last post, I had to do a more broader search for this one... Here is the link to Kodak downloads, and it is a freebie, so just pick your system, and download and enjoy.... The possibilities are endless, Laura...

Ah, I can see that now, re: Zinnias. We grow them over here too, with our warmish climate, (even though it's cold and wet, now:().

Would love to see some samples of your work if you do decide on printing up some stationary. You have heaps of very pretty photos to do so with. Should be good for developing your skills with photography and layout, (which are already good, i.m.o.). :cool

Nearest thing I've done to that is business cards and calendars for friends and colleagues. Pretty time consuming to get it just right, though. Guess people must like them, 'cause they often hang on to them for years LOL.

What do you use to do the calendars? I will actually be investing in Photoshop soon. I'm wondering if that has the capability. It should for the money.

Yes, P.S. is great for the image manipulation/effects, if desired. M.S.'s own Publisher also has a lot of handy-dandy prepaid templates, or can make up your own, if feeling creative. :) Worth the money, i.m.h.o.

I do some photo manipulation now with paintshop, but it's just not giving me all I want. When I search on different effects and such, all the tutorials are for Photoshop. It's expensive, but people seem to love it.

Do you think I could create note cards and calendars with it? Again, I've never tried to apply my photos to anything, so I'm not familiar with that aspect.

Edited to add: Actually, this answers my question: http://blog.lacphoto.com/?page_id=8 A great tutorial on it. Something I'll be trying in the near future I think...at least when the kids go back to school.

Looks like that's the ticket, Lara :cool. It's kinda fun, once you build up a template collection for yourself. You can add a 'solar flare' or 'image curl', or antique effect, or just about anything else you can think up, later. Good luck with all that! ~Now you just need to find the time, with yet another time user-upper, eh.;)
