What's every one doing and what are your plans for the weekend???

I just got home from having pizza and wine at my girlfriend's (hubby playing in golf tourny and dinner after).

Tomorrow I plan to do nada.

Tomorrow night, my other girlfriend is having a bunch of other couples over for a 'harvest dinner'. She has a monsterous veggie garden and everyone is to make something with ingredients from her garden and bring it.

I got mint and am making mojitos. :-D

    Hehehe, that's a nice veggie dish!rolleyes:-D

Man, should have a canning party instead after that but then the mojitos could take care of the canned part! roflmao

Well --- I was going to meet my brother-in-law with the family tomorrow for pizza, then visit gravesites (yeah - I know, great times for all!) with him. Then on Sunday, our church was having an outdoor service at a campground with swimming and a cookout afterwards. But my car decided to crap out! Turns out to be some sensor that controls the transmission. Easy fix but something in the engine keeps making it cut out, so, my car is in the shop for the weekend and there goes the plans! The kids are disappointed, but, that's life! (oh, and I've been on a stay-cation for the week, the only getaway was the Wisconsin State Fair)

Tonight I've been listening to angry music, going through old pictures and scanning them, and having several adult beverages.

Tomorrow I'm cleaning the house, unless I don't feel like it.

Sunday my best friend from high school is driving up from Chicago so we can go to our third musketeer's funeral. Thus explaining tonight's activities.

Well, this must be the day for new 'toys!' I just bought a new co-axial RC helicopter:celebrate However, this one won't be flown until I do some modifications for more stable outside flying. She's a fairly good sized bird, but was designed for indoor flying, or flying outside with NO wind. I'm going to replace the upper and lower rotor heads with aluminum ones along with the swashplate. Shorten the flybar and add a carbon fiber boom w\larger tail fin. Lastly, replace the skids with unbreakable ones, install a heatsink on the twin motors and then modify the canopy to allow the rotor wash to flow over the heatsink and motors. Here's a picture of it BEFORE I started my mods. I had to take it off their website because I already started stripping the new one down. I should have it finished by tomorrow afternoon and then post an AFTER picture! http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e396/xdrpa/EFLH1250-2GAL2.jpg

See Mimsy's reply :-D (dessert, veggie, appetizer, all wrapped up in one):

    Yay bt! I expect pictures!

I put up a hummerbird feeder and none came.:(

    Mojitos are Cuban drinks:

You take a handful of mint and about 3 lime wedges, add an ounce (a shot) of simple syrup (1 part sugar, 1 part water, boiled, and then cooled), muddle it all (smoosh it all up) at the bottom of the glass so all the juices are out and mixed, add ice, add 1 1/2 ounce rum, shake it all up in a drink shaker, top it off with club soda. And then just yummm. :-D

I have no idea where it went either :confused. I posted this thread, sat here for two minutes, and then decided I needed to go to bed. LOL

Laura, first time I heard of that drink too.... Sounds quite flavorful, and looks great!:yum

NICE new toy BT!;) Yup, must see pix too!

Oh, PappaD, I hope you can find something to do with your boys tomorrow... If the weather is nice, take them for a nice walk... I just love to be out in nature, and I am sure they will too...

Stubby, nice chopper there, but be sure to keep it away from the planes!

Have no fear TeeCee, if she got that high, I'd lose track of her! Still, she's finished and here are some pic, before http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e396/xdrpa/EFLH1250.jpg and after http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e396/xdrpa/DSC_0318-1.jpg and some shots of the modifications http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e396/xdrpa/DSC_0322.jpg http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e396/xdrpa/DSC_0323.jpg http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e396/xdrpa/DSC_0316-2.jpghttp://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e396/xdrpa/DSC_0320-2.jpg

After a few minor adjustments to the servos and re-leveling the swashplate, she flew quite well.

Cut down some very old ivy; found some fascinating shaped branches, working on one that looks like some kind of mad lizard. I’ll post it if it turns out ok

Thanks TeeCee! No, I wasn't up all night and once I got started it only took about 4 1\2 hours and half that time was spent getting it balanced and fine tuning it. Soon, hopefully, I'll be ready for my first CP bird (CP=collective pitch).

Friday night I went to a local drive in that we used to hang at in high school for my 40 year class reunion.Only about 25 people had resonded but it ended up with around 100 people. Then saturday at 11am we had a picnic at a local park that was a real blast.I did so much yappin that I almost lost my voice. The third pic is of the first girl I was able to talk to without getting flustered in the fourth grade. We went together and had peoples tounges wagging as we told everyone we were engaged to be married.Ran that story until late saturday when we got up and told everyone it was a bull s**t story. The second pic is me with a friend who is now a Circuit court judge here in our county. It was a blast and I am glad I went :-D I guess I will have to upload the last pic in next post.

Hey Augie, I HAD to freeze the rest! LOL I have made blueberry muffins, blueberry pancakes, and the ones that didn't make it into the batter, well, they got the tub and got put into the freezer! Of course ya gotta test them first...I ate enough of them too!!!

I always make something with them FIRST! Why, it would be UN-American not too! LOL I guess I should have clarified a little better, eh? Not too worry, we always eat them fresh FIRST, then freeze the leftovers.... We had picked more than I knew I could use up right away.... Not to worry, we take Blueberries seriously too!;) roflmao

    This weekend was AWESOME.
My family came over for my birthday on saturday, we went in the pool, etc. I got $30, 5 lottery tickets, and Wii Sports Resort.
Then on sunday my friends came over, and you dont even want to know what went down;)
I volunteer at my church teaching kids about the bible... vacation bible school. I have kindergartners. It's pretty cool teaching about God... the same stuff I learned recently.

And I love how i wrote that while listening to Hotel Room Service

I went and saw "The Hurt Locker" and "District 9". Enjoyed both movies quite a bit.

but that was about it, wish I had done more.

Until I get a USB keyboard or something for my PS3, I can't post a lot on the weekends, or away from the office, so I missed this thread. Friday I had the day off, I stayed home and had my mom over, we cleaned the house all day. I can't really remember much of the rest of that night, not for any specific reason, but it was a long weekend. I guess I went out to her house to get my vehicle in the evening, we had Pizza, and I went home. I had a Field Trial Saturday and Sunday, was there both days from about 7 am to 2 pm. I had to take a covered dish on Sunday, so I was working on that Saturday night. It was awesome. One of my dad's dogs did well on Sunday, if I'm right, I think it won. Sunday was pleasant as well. After the Trial, I went home and planned on cutting the grass, but it was just too hot, so I went shopping for some little things and got a bite to eat, spent the rest of the night at home, watching TV I'd recorded throughout the week. Tonight I am going to get the grass done before it rains again. I just have to stop for some ear phones for the mp3 player so I don't drive myself crazy. After the grass is done, I'll probably just eat something and hang out at home. I'm such a Hobo sometimes, it's nice. I don't have any plans set until the end of the month, I have a wedding to go to. No complaints though.
