What happened to Snipping tool?

    Hi everyone.

    A while ago My computer fell over because of my dog, and it rattled my original hard drive.. Needless to say, it no longer worked. So my brother gave me a hard drive that he wasn't using. It works perfectly fine, but i'm missing features that I had in Vista.

    However, it isn't that bad. :p

    But I do miss my beloved Snipping Tool.

    I can't "activate" it through Programs.. windows features, etc etc.. Because it no longer exists.

    Is there some way I can get this tool back? Because I really wish I had it now. :cry

    Hi

    Is this new HDD you where given, using Vista? if not Vista then you wont have the Snipping Tool, if its a Vista install then you may need to install in Add/remove > Windows Components > Tablet PC components

    Nope, twas Running XP. About two months ago I went to activate Tablet PC components, assuming it was still there, but to my surprise, It wasn't there. So I instantly assumed the new HDD was previously utilizing XP.. Is there a way to get back Tablet PC components? In a free, legal fashion? :confused

    Hi


    Snipping Tool is a Vista/Win7 app and not XP one, hence why you cannot find it. The XP experience pack may add this functionality.

    It didn't work, but that's okay, I guess i'll find a different way to take screenshots. Thanks for the help. :)
