A while ago a certain fellow left a laptop just at our office door when no one was in... What a clever guy.

A little bit after that I saw him just stashing his laptop on one of the science trolleys and collecting it later... What a clever guy.

A certain fellow just walked through the day the other day holding a laptop and carrying it by the screen and wounders why the screen flickers constantly now – thanks to this I have to send it off to get repaired.... What a clever guy.

Same fellow comes in today ask says he can’t get his emails I asked if he had tried logging on and off again as I assumed he was running on a cached profile and it just wasn’t connected properly he then said “Yes and it isn’t working or I wouldn’t be standing here would I” struggled to bite my tongue..... What a clever guy.....

That one guy needs his laptop revoked.

It has been such a mental Monday - Trying to do 3 jobs at once while people keep bursting into the office with problems that they should be logging onto the helpdesk!!!! haha

 

Sounds like you could have given him an attitude adjustment, Captain! LOL

 

My response would've been... Please dont talk to me like I dont know what i'm doing, you came to me for help, if you know better than I do, you shouldn't be standing here at the moment. I only need to ask you simple questions the require simple answers so I can narrow out the possibilities of your problem.

 

I get really bad attitudes from all the people I deal with, when it comes to IT work. makes me sad really.

it's all I I can do not to start tasering people :-D

 

I had another Monday today... two Mondays in a row.

 

Today seems less busy but is really dragging in I thought I had been at work for like 45minutes.. I looked and its been 9 minutes.... NINE!! MINUTES!!! haha

 

Why not tell people, especially Excel users, to get calc programme, called SUCABA
(ABACUS)

 

You guys have it made really. You have a knack and skills for this kind of work and have a job doing it. I am learning and wished i could do this as well and don't have a job. I really envy you all. You kind of sacrifice so to speak and the rewards are a dead steer and a walk a way with no thanks or a Bit**ing out for not "knowing"(what they bring there electronic devices into you for), what you are doing. So for all those who are that ignorant to bring in your device to be fixed and think you know better I say this and to those who have to deal with the ignorant I say :wine Thank you so much with out you guys/gals the ignorant ones would be sitting in the corner saying "which way do I go. which way do I go?LOL

You're welcome. Any time. Everyone needs a pat on the back and recognition of a job that most take for granted. Just wished others would do some back patting,Ooopppss I forgot they are the ignorant ones.:-D

 

I actually don't mind the ignorant ones at all. If not for them, I'd be unemployed.

I do however mind the stupid ones. A lot. I'm sure CaptainQwerty agrees with me that there is a big and important difference between stupid customers, and the ones who just don't know anything about computers.

 

You simply can not fix stupid.

It is stupid to try.

 

One person keeps sending emails to me by accident it's getting really irritating haha, quick rule set up in Outlook so now her mail go straight to the trash.

 

Right now I'm raging.

I put 15 new HP's in ART and rearranged the tables and all the power and network so its all neat and tidy and 15 new HP's is alot better than the 6 Dell GX280's they had.

We even put in a Brand new MFD and took there old broken scanners away.

She is now moaning she wants the old scanners back and the computers to be bunched up really close together so she can fit laptops in aswell on docking stations...

Coupled with the fact, 2 people from computer services are on Holiday, the manager just left on half day, and ones off sick so that leaves me and one other guy left, I am doing litterally 6 or 7 jobs at once and he keeps walking over mentioning jobs and asking me to do them and I know fine well they have been in his helpdesk que for months!

 

Gotta love days like that.
