I was going to download Comodo but saw that the system requirements were Windows XP SP2, but I have SP3.

No problem. If you already have a dedicated antivirus, uncheck the Comodo AV on install.
    Cheers..

Edit to add: That's the minimum requirement, so it's ok. What version have you D/loaded??

Hey shac, just to add to vik's comment, even if you dont have a dedicated AV

I DO NOT recommend using comodo Anti-Virus..

While their Firewall is what i consider one of the best free ones (infact, it's the one i use) their AntiVirus is not the greatest or the lightest available.

You would be much better off using another AV like Avira...

I had Avira Antivirus but it had an annoying popup asking me to update to the paid version.

My computer was slow so I had to get rid of McAfee (very heavy) and replaced it with Comodo.

Comodo Internet Security can be used on SP3. SP2 is a minimum needed.
AV portion is not up to par with their firewall. Would recommend a good third party like Avira AntiVir. Free may nag, but small price to pay for a great free AV.

    Hello, shac

If you wish to go back with Avira (which is what I use), the cure to that popup is posted in this thread.

Just for the record, the reason i think Comodo AV fails is FALSE POSITIVES, it is one of the worst for it in my experience :(

Tis a shame really as their firewall is pretty bad-a** :p

Got that right. I use an older version, and refuse to go to the CIS version.

    g'day shac

i have been using comodo antivirus + firewall for several weeks on two computers both xp sp3 quite successfully had no problems and no false positives as suggested. if you have a computer with limited or low ram i recommend this software.the two machines that run this on are clean and virus free but it is always good policy to have a back up virus scanner to double check for this i recommend avasti virus cleaner or some thing similar that's not real time. hope this helps.
