I went to Vegas in April with my sister and mom and we went to go see Cirque du soleil (Ka). It is unbelievable and worth going. I can't imagine you wouldn't be able to find someone to go with you. It really is crazy what they do.

Might even meet up with some friends you didn't know were going, or maybe make some new ones.

God I hate circus's,after about 10mins I'm climbing the sides of the tent looking for the exit.

The best circus I went to as a kid was when hooked up with some other kids and chased each other around under the seats exploring which was pretty cool.

lol...did you watch the video, Rikky? I'm pretty sure you can't compare any of the cirque du soleil to any of the circus' you saw as a kid. LOL

    Ofcourse:-D I thought it was all boring as hell,people doing flips,fire spinners,strong man,Trapeze,hoola hoop,bendy girl.

I dunno what can I say,I just think so?

I always thought it was something boyfriends take their girlfriends to as payback for watching sports every night, all year.

EDIT I don't want to rain on Paxton's parade or anything I'm just being honest.

    PARADE?!?!?! WHERE?!?!?!

Just kidding. I like this sort of thing, you wouldn't upset me if you told me it was all camera tricks, and fat people. I'd like to go and make a new friend.. especially the hula hoop girl.. yeow!

Oh well, I have a busy weekend that weekend.. A dinner, a Halloween party, and a Steeler game (box seats) So I guess I can skip it this year. LOL

    Hi

kinda suprised Nick has not seen this thread yet as he is a fully paid up member of cirque du soleil, not been to any yet myself and may not do anytime soon but they do look impressive and TBH I'd rather see this type of show on tv over rhe dross we get now, like I'm a celebrity ********** and rhe multitude if make me famous music, dance programs!!

Good comedy and family viewing or shows like this are rarities these days, bring back Live at the Paladium I say (oldish theatre show with various acts from music to comedy to circus for the non UKers)

@ Halo "nice to see you nice" (english in joke)

I have seen Cirque Soleil live once but many times on TV, it,s a favorite over here and the best version always comes from Monaco.

sorry i missed this thread :-o
their shows are magnificent and my favorite's are Alegría and Quidam followed very closely by La Nouba
i have their complete listings of all their works in DVD box sets :p They only come to London once a year as we are not on their top list but none the less i feel their worth seeing despite the ticket price being on the high side for some
i will try to find one of their very special acts for you on you tube the last time i looked it wasn't there but will have a look again :)

Bill, nail and head... to be very honest I have no idea why he has not had a knighthood yet over the one hot wonder sports folk! he has done much for charity and entertainment to warrant a knighthood 10x over.

Cirque Du Soleil is just a great looking spectacle that is fun for all, basically what is missing in our entertainment these days over "celebrity this that and other" "pop goes the weasel" et all

I see you as being more the contortionist, Rikky. :p

So you aren't up there on the ropes, huh, Nick? LOL ;)

I've only seen the one show. A shame you don't get them there often. We have tons all over. Jeez, there were 3 separate ones in Vegas we could choose from

the clip i was looking for has been removed which is a pity :( it was the snowstorm from alegria which to this day i have never seen anything like it and being in the front row will never forget

however this clip i love as it's just pure innocence from a bunch of extremely talented young girls

also you have to remember for those who have never seen their shows is that the music accompanying the performer's is live and is exact as the performance itself with no errors and it is that which makes their shows so special to all who go to see them
