Computer searching

I don't know where this fits...but...I am trying to find books/courses/info on conducting computer searches. Not SEO, but computer searches beyond google, bing, yahoo. There have to be more specific or narrow search engines...without 3.5 million hits in .032 seconds.:banghead

There's TONS of specialized search engines!!!! For starters, go to www.alltheweb.com and search "specialized search engines" and be sure to use the QUOTES around the search phrase. If that's not enough, go to any other browser, Google, Yahoo, etc. - and do the same thing.

Also, don't forget your advanced search "operators" -- they will narrow and focus any search you do.

When I click on your link www.alltheweb it redirects me to Yahoo. If I change the word web to internet it takes me here
http://www.alltheinternet.com/.
Different site but looked interesting anyway.

 

At the bottom of that page there was link for "Searching" which gave lots of options for different search sites. http://www.alltheinternet.com/?dir=/Top/Computers/Internet/Searching
