Starting a new thread for these welcomes since we've missed a few newcomers to the team and the old thread was getting a little long winded, so here we go -

fstmac (8/31/09), BlufftonBushes (9/10/09), Uli (9/17/09) and Andy_4870 (9/18/09) have all joined recently and are contributing to a great research project.:cool

    Thanks for the contributions.:major

Looks like a new guy name of augie has joined up and put the payback machine in high gear.;) (Won't be long before your average is at the #2 spot.)

    Much appreciated.:cool

Thanks, though getting to 4M+ points would be quite something even with a good GPU card. I'm sure most folks here are CPU folding so their totals are indeed very impressive, tortoise and the hare come to mind.:)

nick55 seems to have picked up a bit in the last couple of days so I'll have to settle for third place. I could bring my quad + 2 OC'd 9800GT's into the mix just for bragging rights but I also don't want to abandon my team and my 3.8M points to date. Anyways, bragging rights are overrated, especially at my age.;) Fold on brothas!

I was thinking more the Top Producers daily average rather than total points.:)
I wouldn't want you to abandon the other team at all.
Just wanted to show the effort is appreciated. (And I need to crank my rig up a little faster anyway so I don't get run over.;))

Yup on that! ;) Check your rearview mirror man. "Objects may appear to be further away than they really are".:p:-D

I still can't get VMWare/Ubuntu SMP going on my X2 3800+. There are driver issues with Vista/W7 X64, so I'm going to re-install Vista X86 tomorrow. If that doesn't work with VMWare either, then I'll just install a Windows SMP to soak up the extra cycles. Maybe I'll try Virtual Box for the heck of it in the meantime, a much less resource hog on virtualization.

I do believe one of these days you're going to have a tutorial on putting a Vitual box in a VMWare while running OC vid cards and everything hanging upside down from the ceiling as there is better performance in that position.;) j/k
I can feel those tire tracks already.:-D
I'm just going to have to do some research to get more PPD out of my rig w/o OC anything. (It's still my baby.;) It was a long time coming so everything had to be new from the ground up.))

    roflmao !!!!!:-D

Ya, took me quite a while before I OC'd my first 9800GT. Watched the temps like a hawk but got the bug when I saw my PPD go from 3.5K to 4.5K. Very easy using Precision 1.8.X for nVidia GPUs. No need for RivaTuner and all that technical crap which could prove dangerous if one just fools around with the settings without prior study.

As to maximizing your points, if your CPU can virtualize and you have a couple of gigs of RAM, is to add the VMWare/Ubuntu SMP as that combo is %20 faster than regular Windows SMP, even with all that extra overhead. Other than that, not much you can do except run Windows SMP.

Muahahaha! I'm gonna catch MA in some 6 Hrs. Too bad he didn't get the folding bug, I'm sure he has some top notch machines capable of running me into the ground!:) He is a busy guy so I won't rub it in.;)

It's a great way to give something to help the victims of the disease without having to put in too much effort.

I am folding on another team :-o but it all goes to the same cause, at my peak i was producing 18k per day but now can only run during the day and have sold one of my PCs so for the time i am down to 3k, as someone said every little helps.

welcome and Keep on folding .

    I have a ??? about FahMon 2.3.99.1
Have run through at least 5 projects(WUs) but nothing has been showing up on FahMon.
Shows N/A all across the board.
    Previously was fine.Turned it off.When re-started, nothing.

Me again. Problem with FahMon above is resolved.
Target setting in configuration was wrong. Was set as I:\ (thumbdrive where installed from) instead of C:\.
Made the correction and is now working.
