    :)

So what's everyone's plans today? Anyone have any exciting ones so the rest of us can live vicariously through you?

I was up somewhat late-ish last night and was hoping to sleep in this morning. Alas, the older I get, the earlier I rise.

I have a soccer (football) game of my 10 year old daughter's to go to this afternoon. With the rain that may get cancelled. Other than that, I am just relaxing today.

    :)

Good morning Laura! I am getting my morning chores done, so I can go to a benefit dinner this afternoon.. That is about it for me. The sun is shining and the colors on the trees are just brilliant today! ;)

I'll be thinking of ya later on tho, hope that helps! :-D

Just washed car (1st time in 6 months) and as usual it started to rain, so the inside will get a clean tomorrow all being dry, now just catching up with PC stuff and forums.

Late Saturday evening, here. Went to a birthday party earlier on, and got a chocolate cupcake thrown on the back of my head :yum. So I threw a Lemon Meringue back at her and got her mom - Whoops!LOL Well, her mom couldn't throw for nuts, and his this big guy with a cigar, eh. Real messy food fight followed.

Well, I suppose that's one way to use up leftovers rolleyes. At least it was outside in the back yard. In fairness, I did help clear up afterwards with the aid of about 100 seagulls and crows that thought Christmas had come early. Pity Tim.W wasn't there, I could have really given him cake!;):-D

I felt guilty that I might have played a part in wrecking her birthday, but she said it was the best one she ever had. Then I sat in a bowl of custard and jelly, and she couldn't stop laughing at me:-o. I can’t believe I fell for the old custard bowl on the seat trick. Ah well, vengeance will be mine next year!

So I'm home now doing an extra load of washing - surprise, surprise. I think I had one too many Martinis, as I nearly put my clothes in the toilet - ugh! Early night for me, I think. Don't think I'll be easting cake or pie any time soon, though.:-o

Nearly three hours after dragging self out of bed, still in pajamas and sipping the third cup of coffee. Considering making another grilled sandwich, with turkey instead of ham this time...

Toying with idea of eventually actually put real clothes on so I can get out of the house and mail out the book I agreed to send to a moocher, since it's already been a couple of days since I agreed to send it. Maybe after that I will play a video game and drink a Guinness.

Sounds like my kind of perfect day actually :)

Just got home from work and just relaxing for our Sunday ritual. Church lasts pretty much all morning and will get home around 2pm. Will probably camp out in my room with the Sunday ads and comics with the Football games on the TV and get a good nap in. Autumn is my favorite time of the year to get lazy in. :-D

Thanks! It's one of my new photos.

Can i just say....I want that bucket of fun. LOL

Well, today was a pretty good day. The girls and I hung out and for the most part relaxed. We had a few things going on, but nothing of note. Hubby came home around 5 and we took the youngest out to get some Mexican and margaritas.

All in all not a bad day.

What I want to know is how Sikvik's Tandori chicken came out. :-D

Talk about a goodie basket :drool Would make a nice avatar..
The Tandoori chicken came out yum and juicy. You guys should have dropped by :-D

Sunday afternoon here now. Will treat my self to a couple of screwdrivers.

Decided I felt like cooking again. Will make some mutton shanks. The dish is called Kashmiri Rogan Josh Takes all of 30 mins to cook and simple to boot :)

Kinda rich, as it's cooked in clarified butter. But I've eaten very sensibly the entire week. Time to indulge :-D

The kitchen has been prepped for me - so I'm off, with a drink in hand.
    Cheers..

Friday night was supposed to be rather uneventful for me. But, with my family, there's always a party or something going on somewhere. I ended up going to an Aunts house, around 7PM & stayed out until something like 2:30, played the DD, as usual.. No complaints.

Saturday, I woke up around 7 AM & texted my brother and his wife. He was getting ready to leave for the Steeler game in Detroit, so I asked if I ought to bring donuts over for them, and their two kids, they agreed that I should. I wasn't home until about 3 AM after that. I stayed for donuts until about 10, came down to work and set up a new machine. From work, I left and met my mom at a birthday party for a cousin's step kid. He turned 6, I pre-paid for him to go get the Transformer movie that's coming out on the 20th. Everyone thought that was a great idea, I thought it would have to do, I didn't have any other ideas.

From the birthday party, we left to pick up another aunt & head to this "camp" at Cook forest, about 45 minutes away. I was DD again. This had been scheduled for a while. I ended up talking to all these new people, friends of my moms, and friends of the friends. It was pretty entertaining. There's another lady there, and she's a DD for her boyfriend?? They kept joking about getting married, so I'm calling them together. Anyhow, she starts doing shots, & hitting the beer cans, peer pressure never goes away I guess. Turns out she's the one needing the ride & her boyfriend stayed sober to drive. What a riot though. She sat & listened to me talk for a while, & kept telling me about this daughter she has. I made it clear I wasn't in the market for a chef, er... girlfriend, but she was persistent & made me give her my phone number so the girl could call me. I wrote my cell number on one of my business cards & gave it to her.

I'm thinking I'm in the clear though, how many people would you call, sight unseen.. If all you had to go on was what one of your parents thought of them? She's studying at Pitt to be a veterinarian, plays the piano.. etc, etc, etc.

It was a blast though, the mom can obviously hold it down, she'd get along with my family for sure. Still, I'm not at 100% that I even WANT the phone call. The mom has a computer that's giving her headaches, she tells me she might call herself, to have me take a look at it.

I cut my grass Sunday, & that gave me a lot of time to think about the goings on in my life. I finished the grass & texted this one person, told them I'd had enough of them & would cease to be in contact from that point forward. Man, that didn't go over like I'd hoped it would. Why do some people have feelings? Anyhow, it was a fabulous weekend.

Next weekend, my calendar is clear, but that usually means nothing. The two weekends after that are jammed full of things. the weekend of the 30th I'm going to a concert in Philadelphia, & hitting Eastern State Penitentiary for there "Terror Behind the Walls" Link here it's supposed to be the number one haunted house in America. Should be a good time.

Sounds like a pretty damn good one, Pax. As far as I'm concerned the most fun is generally spent at impromptu gatherings of family. It's generally laid back with no pressures.

As far as the girl calling, I wouldn't stress. If she does she does. Then you go from there. I'm sure you'd both get an idea on whether you would want to go beyond phone call. :)

I looked at the link for the Prison. I think my oldest daughter would love that. Of course, I'm not sure I'd ever take her. Sounds beyond creepy. maybe the day tour....

I won't lose sleep either way. She calls, maybe I make a friend... Maybe not. She doesn't call, I am unchanged. I just like having things to look forward to. It seems like (at least for October) I've always got something. My family is notorious for last minute gatherings. Almost to where it's odd not to have something going on somewhere over a weekend.

I keep finding long lost friends on this facebook site, it's awesome. Even if it only takes a day or two to catch up and talk, it's cool. I just found this girl I met, only once. She was from Canada, and we were at the same amusement part.. about 14 years ago. My friend and I rode rides with her and her friend. We exchanged contact info & went along with our lives.

We use to write and call one another, prior to my having email. Now, I hope we'll be in touch for a while again. I've met lots of people from my past. I still have no complaints. I'm going to have to come up with some more goals though, enough of this floating around, I'm excited for the holidays.
