A strange thing happened to me last night

Yesterday was a long day. I work up & was out the door around 7AM. I probably went to bed around 1AM the night before. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary in the morning.

When I got home last night, it was around 10PM and I could hear music inside my house. Loud music, the kind you would have noticed at 7AM while you were readying to leave, you know?

No lights are on when I get in the door. I let the dog out, knowing the chihuahua would only be able to smell someone out at best, defense was up to me, should someone be there.

I took the dog out to have a pee like I would anytime & made my way to my "security system" in the downstairs closet. I proceeded then to clear each room in the house, the basement, attic & yard around the house.

I didn't find anything, but can't imagine what would have happened. I don't think someone would have just come in and turned on the radio, ya know? Most likely I was rushing in the morning & missed the music playing.. I just can't imagine doing that.

I'd like to extend an invitation to whomever was in my house last night, if there was someone. Come back when I'm home, we can have a little talk. It'll be fun.

 

Nah, no timers. I was listening to Sirius Radio on my television / surround sound, while I used the internet on my PS3 that night. The only thing I can think, which would be odd, is that I turned off the television, and the PS3, but left the satellite receiver & surround sound on. It was loud though, I would have heard it while I laid in my bed & fixed it..

The chihuahua always looks guilty.. but I keep her in a crate when I'm out. If not, she would be, of pooping all over the place. LOL

 

Paxton on the search for music LOL ! Right ! Now i need to know where that music is coming from, open wide ! :-D

Something like that rusty, LOL. One thing I neglected to think about, until I was done with my search.... Was that I live in a little teeny tiny town, and just walked all over my yard in the dark with an AK-47 poking at bushes, and shadows.. I went inside & sat waiting for the police to come knock on my door.... They didn't though. LOL

I guess I better keep my tactical searches inside my house from now on, just to be sure. I suppose yesterday was just one of those days where you hope someone is still there, ya know? I'm thinking the AK could put 10 FMJ's down range before someone was able to turn a door knob..

LOL, TeeCee... I figured if someone was there through the night without me finding them, they probably would just use the toilet and leave. I might have gotten close enough for them to see me.. I'm sure I was alone, just not paying attention.

FMJ = Full Metal Jacket. When I got my rifle, I bought 500 rounds ammunition to go along with it.

I don't shoot it too often, it's been years.. It's not even loaded, to be honest I think the bullets are at my parents house. I just think it would be pretty cool to see the look on someone's face when they're breaking into your house, and you round a corner with an assault rifle on them, while they planned on being alone... Really, I would have just called the police if I found someone last night.

 

Just remember to shoot first and ask questions later

 

Or question them just after shooting then finish them of properly ! :-D

 

That works also!!! As long as you get enough information that someone else doesn't get into the house then you are good. :-D

All I had was a cell phone to take pictures with. I thought without the towels, the picture wouldn't turn out. LOL I've been cracked with a towel pretty good in the past, wouldn't be the worst weapon in the house..

 

Glad it turned out alright, but searching for intruders with an unloaded weapon is not a good idea... An unloaded gun is like an expensive paperweight, that might prompt an armed intruder to shoot at you! :guns :-D

 

As a courtesy, and to save any exposed frail body parts from being mauled to shreds, I promise not to tell your chihuahua you said that...

Fred's comment about an unloaded gun is why I keep a sword. That, and because everyone in the US seems to own a gun for self-defense. When someone comes at you with a big knife, you know they're a psychopath. http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-violent092.gif

Oh, by the way. I've had instantaneously short power-surges start up electronic devices in my house. Check for that. And if necessary, replace your UPS.

Oddly, I just added Ham to the freezer for the first time since Christmas I would imagine. As long as it was a forum member, I'm alright with that, LOL

As for the beer & cashews / chips.. I have the beer, but you'll have to bring your own cashews if you're going to leave shells all over the floor haha.

You might even want to bring your own beer, come to thing of it. Here's what I have, in a nut shell (pun intended)

 

Hey Stubby drink all the beer you want, but always keep hold of your nuts when Digitallocksmith is about ! :-D

I guess you're wondering WHY I thanked you 3 'basketcases, huh? Well, it wasn't because the posts were useful, as it states, but rather because I haven't laughed this hard in a long, long time:-D I was going to use the term 'nut cases,' but I know if I would've used that term I'd just be opening myself up for more abuse:cryroflmaoroflmao Thanks guys, I really needed that, it really made my day!
