Thanks, Rikky, that made my day! Loved it! So beautiful and brought a tear to my eye. My daughters husband has been to Iraq 3 times in the last 5 years , so, this really hit home.

Its hard to imagine not seeing your dad for 12 months at that age and on top of that knowing he could be killed and never come back.

Okay Rikky, now that you have everyone here at MGs in tears, and rightly so because it is a beautiful video, I think it's only fair that you pass out the Kleenex's:-D I've watched that video countless times so you can put me down for a whole box, which I'll share with my son because it brought tears to his eyes too;)

I love love love those, even though they always make me cry. They have surprises like that on the local news here all the time.
That was so uplifting, Thanks Rikky sniffle

Thanks for sharing that, Rikky. I didn't think I'd be so touched by something like that, either. Guess I also have a soft-center somewhere, too.

I know Rikky it is awful for the children and for the wife too, but especially for the kids. My daughter is lucky her children are 2 and 4 and one half years old, so it was not until his last deployment a year ago that they noticed Dad was gone. They did not know he was in harms way, but they would ask all the time, where is my daddy and the 2 year old would just act out. The good thing was he has a laptop and they have not made it possible for them to use skype and call home several times a week. However, it was usually 2 or 3 in the morning , so, the kids only spoke with him once a week.

I am grateful he is on Shore duty for the next 3 years so the children will have dad home most of the time. With the 4 year old having Autism it is not easy on anyone.
Again thanks for posting. :) It was so good to watch the joy in her face as she realized Dad was here!
