automatically print feed when updated

Hello everybody,
I have to make a quite unusual setup that I don't know how to go about. I have a web page (lets say an ordinary html-page) that is updated once a minute or so. I want the setup to automatically print the latest version of the web page on an ordinary printer (lets say it is a printer connected to a PC via network).

Before I get my hands too dirty I would like to hear your suggestions for at setup. My available hardware are 3 PC's with Ubuntu, Ubuntu Server and Windows vista home editon and a laser printer (hp 1022).

Suggestions are very welcome!

 

I should add some more info: I considered making some sort of batch-script to run on a windows vista machine but I don't have too much experience with vbscript and vista-programming... I have more experience with PHP and javascript, but I am not sure how to solve the task with these languages.

 

If you have control of the server that hosts the HTML file, you should take a look at the PHP Printer extension (Certain Windows Servers Only; not installed by default) or the PHP Print Class. If you wanted a JavaScript solution, you could look at the Window.Print() method (just brings up the Print Dialogue, doesn't automatically print).

Maybe using PowerShell, or WMI, but I'm terribly unfamiliar with either of those.

Linux can, on occasion, be quite awesome and useful. Grep, for instance, is quite awesome and useful. :-D Glad you found a solution!
