The AVG 8.5 Antivirus has detected Trojen Horse Viruses while downloading Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware. I wonder whether this is a False Positive.

I have run READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide. Herewith I attach the necessary logs for your perusal.

    Thanking you.

    All the best,

Yes it is a false detection.

Why are you running the cleaning procedure? You should only run the cleaning procedure if you are having problems. Your logs are all clean.

If Malware is detected, shouldn’t I run the Cleaning Procedure?

Sometimes I have found that without problems detected, when I have run the Cleaning Procedure after detecting Threats or Antiviruses, certain adjustments had to be made to remedy such attacks as advised by your forum.

What should I do if Malware are detected during usual scanning?

When do you suggest that I should run the cleaning procedure?

    Thanking you.

    All the best,

Not really. It should only be necessary if your scanner did not fix/remove what was found and if you are actually having problems. It does not hurt to run scans with SAS and MBAM on a bi-monthly basis but the full cleaning procedure with ComboFix, RootRepeal and MGtools should be only run when you are actually having malware problems.
