Hey Sgt. I won't be anywhere near there but I'll wear pink just for the cause tomorrow. No breast cancer in the family( Thank God) but other types of cancer that has taken several of my family members.

i won't be around either, but i'm covered. most of my wardrobe accessories, iPhone cover, DS Lite, kitchen appliances & utensils, combination lock, decor, etc. is pink. all my kitchen stuff is the Susan G Komen foundation KitchenAid or Cuisinart.

would love to get a pink fridge, stove & dishwasher (from BigChill) but they're out of my price range, right now. also can't afford to replace my keyboard, monitor, printer, mouse & tower with pink ones and don't feel like painting them.

The only pink stuff i own are my ex white tee shirts that my wife washed with a red jumper :-D

Breast cancer has touched many family's, My wife had a mastectomy 12 years ago and is doing great now, so this gets my full support.

I remember reading an article somewhere about how the pink craze is actually not helping breast cancer as much as we think, as most of the money is going directly to the companies that make the products with the pink ribbons on them, and only a very small percentage is going to the research for the cure.

I'm not against curing breast cancer or anything, but the article made me think.

Simple solution: Donate directly to the charities. Do not accept any kind of donation gift, leave it for the next person. This way (generic) you have the satisfaction of giving money to a good cause without boosting your (generic) ego.

Which is why my Local bought the shirts out of our treasury and the total $5 donation per shirt went to our local Gilda's Club. Not only that, but the shirts were done locally, thus supporting local jobs.
