Not sure what lending your pc out has to do with anything since most viruses/trojans are downloaded by the owner, but:

Pedophiles can exploit virus-infected PCs to remotely store and view their stash without fear they'll get caught. Pranksters or someone trying to frame you can tap viruses to make it appear that you surf illegal Web sites.

Sounds like an easy legal way out for the pedophiles. 'Oh, I'm sorry Mr. FBI Agent, that's not my porn. I must have a virus downloading it.' It's probably some pedophile group funding it.

Ya, heard that on CNN this morning. Some innocents had to pay big bucks for their defense against this accusation. At least that it's now more in the open, there will be tools made to detect this garbage.

Oh, if they lent out their PC for some obscure reason then they should have turned the person in.

MSNBC has no clue, most folks don't run their machines 24/7, I think it's more of a co-opted distribution point.
