Were would I find a driver for aero to work

iam not to sure of this but here goes , my wifes computer isnt a high spec computer , i tried to enable areo on windows 7 but got 1 of the boxes that i have put in the picture , its says there might be a driver , if so were would i get such a driver ,any help would be great

I'm not sure Aero will work if the PC doesn't have at least 128mb of video memory. It looks like you are using a generic Video adapter with 64mb of memory.

It couldn't hurt to find the exact driver for your video adapter but Aero probably won't work without a separate video card of at least 128-256mb.

Your using a Compaq monitor does that mean it is a Compaq PC? Then Hp.com should have the video driver for your model number.

 

Would you be interested in upgrading that computer with an add-on video card so that Aero can be enabled? What make and model is it?

 

Ya, I doubt that GPU would pass the W7 Upgrade Advisor test. Sorry Paul but Aero is not the bees knees either, ya it looks nice but do you want to spend some cash to have it? Your choice and on an older machine, make sure you do your homework if'n you're going to upgrade. It might not be worth it.
