Wow 2009 went by fast

It seems like 2009 went by fast :-D

only 38 days until Christmas

 

I know . . . time flies faster the older I get.

I actually have a theory as to why that is . . . you see, I am now over the hill. Thus, I must be heading downhill and picking up speed! :-D

 

:-D My theory is your brain is working slower as you get older,you process less information so your day seems shorter.

Also I think its because you've already processed everything in your immediate environment so your not learning anymore,if you could move to another planet or universe where everything is new and you have to learn to live again the days would seem longer.

 

If you think 2009 went by fast, wait til you see what 2010 is going to do:-D

 

I suppose that the older you get the shorter the years are.

When you are 10 years old a year is a 10th of your life but when you reach 50 it's only a 50th (not much hope for me then 62)

I am sure it has to do with Einsteins theory of relativity.:-D

 

lol that would actually be true,as the mass of your body increases after years of Christmas dinners your body would warp space time through gravitational time dilation,so your experience of time outside your central mass would appear to be speeding up.

That would also mean the fatter you were the longer people think you lived,if you could increase your mass to that of the earth it would appear you get a couple of extra nano seconds of life compared to everyone else,but life would appear shorter to you.

 

So Eating Big Macs does make you live longer.

 

To everyone else you live longer but to you life seems shorter,from your observational POV big macs are a bad thing,to everyone else your savvy :-D

When i was in college, one of my teachers said when you get out working, time will go by faster than you can imagine.

i think he was right. really sucks.

 

Yep the older you are the faster time flies

Looked out the front window last night and someone across the street is all lit up already with Christmas lights

 

maybe it's just perspective. yes, when i was much younger, i wished time would speed up, just so some things were OVER, or here sooner. now, it's just there and goes like it goes. i'm just thrilled when i learn something new and can master it/pass it on, meet someone new who's really cool, or finish something i've worked really hard on.

btw, THANKS to loads of you who've contributed, even by accident, to me learning tons of new info.

eventually, everything will end, and that's okay, too. it hasn't yet, and i'm having loads of fun in the meantime. to quote Warren Zevon: "I'll sleep when I'm dead."

 

yet i remembered the first time i said i will be a better like man when i was even a child. Now, i am 24, i tell me to be a ture man all the time. thanks all of you here and somewhere else.

 

YEP! getting closer to 2012. Christmas is so commercial that it almost depresses me to see the way people act at the stores. The economy has taken a bite out of a lot of us but I celebrate Christmas the way it was done in our family when my dad was the only provider for 11 children. Family dinners and lots of hand made gifts from the grand( I love them the most) and just celebrating the birth of a new born babe. OH Yeah, FOOD:drool. can't forget those fantastic meals.:yum:drool Loose enough wieght before hand so you can put it back on over the Holidays.:-D I don't have that problem. I have a very high metabolism that where most look at it and gain 10lbs I gain 5lbs after eating it. but I do have to watch the types of food I eat but that's been since earlier this year when my doc found a small blockage due to cholesterol intake. Take a pill and it stays down so I do cheat.rolleyessome.
And I too say Thank You to those who have been there when i needed the help and the friendship. You are all a great bunch and I wouldn't ask for anyone different.

Yep, nearly the end of another year, and another decade. Maybe as we get older we just have more junk and memories to clutter up our minds and distract us from the issues, (whatever that is). Routines of life tend to become auto or semi-automatic, so we tend to not think about them as much. Maybe we need to take some time out and sit back and take a long look at life, for better or for worse.

 

Yup, it sure did. Seems like a lot faster than years in the past... The Holidays are getting more and more commercial, and kinda takes a lot of the true meaning away....

Been a great year here, and I have enjoyed it, and all of you too Had a lot of fun, and learned a few things at the same time... Cool! That is enough for me
