Copatibility problem... ?? or not?

hi there, i am going to build a new pc.

i have been looking at thr AMD athlon II x4 Quad Core Processor

I was just wondering if these are compatible before i splash out, im pretty sure they are but im just checking!

And all this along with psu, gpu, hdd and dvd drive will fit in any ATX case?

The mobo will fit in a full atx and mid-tower case.

And yes mobo cpu ram should work.

 

The processor is NOT compatible with the motherboard. The processor is AM3 and the motherboard is AM2+. AM3 components are not backwards compatible.

 

Are you sure? Asus website says that it's a AM3 socket motherboard?

 

Sorry, you are correct, the board is compatible. Ebuyer just buried the AM3 bit and I didn't look hard enough. Sorry!:-o
