But.... I posted a thread in the malware removal forums 3-4 days ago. I have not bumped it once because the sticky said bumping will hurt your chances of getting a reply. The reason I am concerned is because it has not yet received a reply from the mods of the forum. Normally I would be more patient and wait for a reply but, threads posted maybe 5 minutes after mine have already gotten replies and threads posted today have already gotten replies. I may be wrong but the no bumping rule is so that they can answer the oldest unanswered threads first and then work their way up the list. I am a little confused on why threads posted today have been answered but my thread posted a few days ago hasn't. Any solutions to my problem?

They will continue to help in threads they have already started with. They will not start on new ones until they feel they have a handle on the ones that are already in motion.

You were not forgotten and they will get to it. You definitely do not want to bump it. They are just extremely busy in there.

Be patient. I know it's hard when you have malware, but it'll pay off. The experts in there are the best. :)

Yeah i know they are very busy, thanks for clearing this up, I just was a little confused because i saw some threads that said they were created today and yesterday, all created after mine that were answered before me. I was just wondering if I had posted it at a bad time and it went un-noticed. Ill just wait then lol. Im a little antsy beacuse not only did my xbox rrod last week so I had to send it in, my computer is now broken so I'm left with nothing lol.

I have just looked at your thread. You have not followed the instructions posted in the malware forum that are stickied. You Must follow the Read And Run Me First Malware Removal thread and post all logs that are requested. When they do respond to your thread, that is what you will be told if you do in fact think you have Malware.

If you are not sure it's malware, you might want to post in Software as you mentioned. Either way, in order to be helped in Malware, you'll have to follow the instructions.

I don't mean to be an *** but I dont think it's possible to post logs of a computer that can't start ;)

    lol...true. Sorry, it's been a long day. ;)

You'll have to get it up and running for them to help. You can leave the thread go as is for now, and post in Software. See if anyone can come up with a fix for you there on how to get it to boot up successfully.

Can you start it in safe mode? If not, you're outta luck I believe and will have to look at drastic measures.

Yeah I'll go ahead and post in software too.

I wish I could get it running. Thats not even close to a possibility right now lol.

Actually LauraR, I think I rather move the post. I will do that now, and then it can be moved back.

Ray, bump your post (once) per me, to get it back where people will see it.

Once again, don't mean to be an ***, but if you had actually read my post you'll find the answer to that.

I'll help you out, I have had this same problem before and I switched the SATA mode in BIOS from RAID to IDE but that didn't work this time because it was already in IDE and switching it back to RAID didn't work either. And no, I can't start it in safe mode, I cant even get into system recovery.

Ok will do, is it in the Software or Malware, or both?

And when you say bump it per you, you mean say that you told me to bump it?

Please don't troubleshoot this here, and be a little kinder to people asking questions :)

Not wise to bite the hand that feed ya, sometimes it bites back, or worse, walks away and ignores your pleas.

Closing this thread as its purpose has been served.
