I go to a gaming site to play flash games. Today when I clicked on it, the attached picture is what came up.

Wtf? Anyone ever see that before?

Tell me about it. New laptop. Just what I need the first couple of months. I'm running a scan now. The worst is that I actually clicked on the site a few times. I've never seen anything like that and thought it was just the site that was hacked and a joke with the picture up. #@%&!

If Avira comes up clean, what do you think? Run another scan? I'm wondering what to use.

It would be nice to know what that thing does and how to get rid of it if one got it. There's got to be other infected folks running around with it.:( Geez man, it locked the whole site, no one could get in. They're now restoring from a backup.:)

I know. Avira didn't even pick anything up when I went on. Hopefully that a good sign?? Were you on with Win7?

So far I'm getting nothing with my scan. I guess I could uninstall Avira and install Avast to do a scan if yours picked it up.

Yes, Win7 X64. Just kill Avira, no need to uninstall it if you want to keep it.

Guess I'll have to. Avira didn't pick up anything. I had no intention for this to be a support thread. Guess I'll move it over to software so another mod doesn't have to. :-D

    Thanks augie.

Avast was reporting a lot of false positives yesterday so I think that augiedoggie got burned by the false positive. LauraR, I think your computer is safe. (Another reason why Avira did not find anything). Today Avast cleaned up the false positives so a scan with Avast would not report the things augiedoggie saw.

I would normally agree with you on the false positives, but add the fact that the site was hacked and I got the alert, that's just too much to ignore, right?;) BTW, if this was a false positive it was the first alert I have ever gotten from Avast and I range far and wide on the 'net.

Anyways, thanks for the update on the status of Avast. :)
