Good Practices for Computer Security

I am doing a school article on computer security and malware prevention. Anybody got any tips I could throw in? (P.S. i am going to put a link to you guys in it)

Security is easy. See those cables coming out the back of the computer? Cut them all off. Now nothing can hurt your computer. :-D

Alternately, turn off your internet when you aren't using it to prevent a lot of problems, though not all of them.

All joking aside zdawg pornography is one of the most prevalent ways in which malware spreads and deserves a big mention,don't forget to mention torrents/torrent sites and the growth of illegal file distribution and website honey traps.
