Sucks to be at the low end of the economic scale.

 

That's nuthin. When I were a lad, all we had were a stick and a bit of mud, if we were lucky.

 

Back when I was in college you were lucky to have paper or pens,we had to scribe our notes into the head of the person sitting in front of you.

 

Hell,

we did that even when we did have pen and paper. It was called....'starting a fight'.

Yeah and we crawled to school for three miles...in the snow....uphill, both ways...

 

And then our dad beat us half to death and made us get up half an hour before we went to bed.

 

Ah,yes...the good 'ol days. When the air was clean, and sex was dirty....

 

Plus we never had buses or cars in my day we had to grab the tail of a stray dog and stick a drawing pin in its backside.

It was hard work for the dog because our library books were made of lead.

 

You know...this was all totally believable and realistic till you said that Rikky.

Exaggeration?Kids these days don't know what exaggeration is,when I was in college if a kid gave you a sweet by the end of the day he'd been knighted twice and given the Nobel peace prize.

Dang, you were all so lucky. Back in my day we had to contend with ravenous wolves and killer bears on our three mile snow trek to the school. Lost an average of a student a month, we did . . . during the good years. We would go in pairs, with sharp sticks (spears, I think they were called), and partners would alternate who was on point each day.

And they laughed at me 'cause I'd always pair up with Gimpy-Jim . . .
