So as i have been for the last few days im sitting on the floor surrounded by 'puters of all shapes, sizes and some are in more bits than i can count.

I've got installs and scans running left right and center and my lil girl (almost 5) has just walked in and this convo followed.....

So the jist of the story is my lil princess is a proper little star and im getting all teary eyed, deffo a geek in the making i reckon, how many kids could say they have installed windows and ran CPU and MEM stress tests before the age of 5.

    HAHAHAHAHA....

Now she wants to know why the cd on the floor says puppy on it, she loked at me like i'd just told her it is ok to eat her own hand when i said it is what makes the computer work like windows does :D

Maybe a *nix geek in the making.

    my baby girl rocks :p

Awwwww....sweet sweet story, Q. Aren't kids the greatest? (well, most of the time anyway LOL)

Reminds me of how proud I am of my 13 year old who can now help her dad with all things electronic including showing him how to set up his computer so he can use our wireless at home. The best thing is that now I don't have to do it all the time. :-D

Awesome. Good job leading the girl into the technology arena. I have a 4-1/2 yr old girl that loves computers as well. She's happy just to sit there and "type" in Word, but loves watching me troubleshoot. The little sneak turned off the wireless on my laptop the other day just to mess with me.

So of course she asked for a Princess laptop this year... :-D

HA! im nearly done with these comp's, just 1 more CPU to clean/re-seat , 1 more HDD to fit, wipe, format & install, 1 more monitor & keyboard to clean, and then everything needs updating.

It might seem like a fair bit to do, but at least i can see the end now :)

Im gonna find some pic's of my lil girl (her names Angel btw) and let ya all put a face to the name.

It's not all lost yet... teach her about terminal mode!

Or show her how to upgrade a desktop and over-clock it. ;)

Oh I could not agree more DLS, and my neices who are 7 and 9 now both where brought up with computing as, when they where babies and early age they sat with me while i was on a PC and picked up alot, now they are both superb on any PC be that a laptop or desktop and know a bit about security and what not to click, the youngest is in Computer class in school and will be a future Microsoft MVP or Majorgeeker in the making as with both of yours.

    Great story Q.
