How are you spending this Christmas?

I'm newly single but I've got lots of family.

Thursday is Christmas brunch at my daughter's house. My son and his wife will also be there along with my 4 grand kids; a six year old boy, four year old girl, and twin boys born in March. All of them cuter than any other kids you've ever seen, at least from my perspective.

Then it's off to one of my sisters' house where I'll spend Christmas Eve and Day. She's already got me slated to clean her computer as well as other odd jobs, her husband doesn't like home or computer repair work. There will be another sister and husband and some nieces and nephews and bloody marys and wine and beer and snacks and turkey and good cheer.

The sad note is that this is my first Christmas without our mother, who passed away in January. This was by far her favorite time of year and we'll probably set a place for her at the table. She'll be with us in some way.

What are others doing?

Actual Christmas isn't really a holiday around here, but Mom and I get up and eat a huge real breakfast (her present to me is that she usually cooks it...I do all the cooking normally). This past Sunday was the huge family party with Mom, and this coming Sunday is the huge family party with Dad. "Huge family" for us means the four of us girls with husbands (or in my case, boyfriend), niece and husband, 14-year-old niece, 12-year-old niece, 10-year-old niece, 10-year-old nephew, 8-year-old nephew, 4-year-old great-niece, 3-year-old great-nephew, 1-year-old great-niece. Presents take for-freaking-EVER to open! LOL

 

Have to work. It is midnights, so I will get home around 9am and my Son will then open his gifts. I have the weekend off so I will be able to spend at least Christmas day, Sat., and most of Sunday with him (he's 10), most likely playing video games.

 

Home, with family, drinking. Standard!

 

I'll be spending Christmas morning with my family, the rest of the day in a puddle on my living room floor, sobbing, alone.. This making friends & keeping them business is hard work!

Ok, probably not in a puddle, or sobbing, but alone. Ask and ye shall receive, right? I'm fine.

 

Home with the family, eating, drinking, and having the best christmas time ever, i absolutely love christmas time especially when you have a fantastic family like mine, who all seem to cheer each other up !

 

I will be spending Christmas with my boyfriend and family. I am cooking a huge dinner and will spend the rest of the day cleaning.... LOL

 

At home --- with family. The way it's supposed to be!

 

At home, alone, not going anywhere. Brother & sister are going their separate ways this year.

 

Time with the family and will install some remote software as well.

 

If we get the snow that is forecasted, we'll stay home and enjoy some goooood food, :yum but if it misses us, we'll go to the movies...

The weather will determine the outcome for tomorrow.. No local weather stations on the TV, just what I get off the Internet, and of course, going outside LOL

So, either the movies or staying in and chowing down, will be quiet.

 

As always, with the family. We will be watching the Lakers-Cavs tomorrow, also as always.

 

Spent Christmas Eve with my kids (and granddaughters! Got to spoil them and send them home :-D).

Spending the first part of Christmas at work (0000 to 0800), then spending the rest of the morning at my parent's house with some extended family.

Then it's off to slumberland for this papaw . . .

 

My house this morning to open presents.
Then going to my aunt\grandmas(same house).
While at my aunt\grandmas I'm going to my friend's house to exchange gifts. Then Kim is coming over to my aunts\grandmas later on.
