What websites am i transmitting to?

Is there any way to see exactly what websites and computers i am transmitting and receiving data to at any moment in time?

Is it possible to allow my computer to ONLY transmit and receive from a certain website?

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

All help much appreciated from this noob!

Hi

What Windows version are you using as it helps to narrow down applications that work with that version?

But Wireshark will tell you what websites and traffic is going too and from your PC.

and for blocking sites you can either add the web address to the HOSTS file or add them to the browsers blocked sites, in IE thats in Tools > Internet Options > Privacy tab > Sites and add the url and click Block, to add to the HOSTS file follow THIS (but warning is that you wont be able to view this site added as its a two way thing)

To be honest going this route will impact on your surfing habbits and if you dont want to view specific sites then dont goto them.

Try url snoop and to help block unwanted 'side visits' put a good host file in place.

Depending upon what version of Windows you are running, you might want to investigate the possibility of using the Windows firewall for egress filtering. If you are running a router, check the manual--it also may allow you to restrict access through its firewall or other Internet access restricting options (such as parental controls, etc).
