I was using my computer yesterday and all of a sudden it shutdown. I cannot power it up or do anything. I am not sure if it is simple fuse issue or motherboard? Any assistance or guidance is appreciated.

I can't offer any advice when you "provide no background info" it's like you going to the Doctor and saying I have a pain can you fix it.

Please provide as much info about your PC and then your problem as possible if you want any assistance.

    That's perfect:

Start with some "isolation testing". Turn off the rear switch and unplug the back power cord and then reconnect it and make sure it is "snug" (hasn't wriggled loose) making a good connection and then turn on rear switch again and front power button, anything?

So you are getting no sign of life whatsoever? Have a "smell" at the rear where the PSU Fan outlet is, can you smell any "burnt" odours, etc?

I have checked "isolation testing" and to make sure it had good coonection and nothing happened.

I have also checked to se if there is smell where the PSU fan outlet and nothing. Wondering if you have any other suggestions? Could it be due to motherboard failure?

Could be the motherboard but more than likely it probably is the psu. If you have another computer you could try the power supply out of it and get your answer on the status of the psu. If not, maybe a friend would let you use his.

It is time to start opening the case and having a look. Can you see any lights on the mobo?

Check the fuse hasn't gone in the Power plug that is in the wall socket.

It is plugged to a power strip and other items that are plugged to the strip are working so don't think it is the wall socket. ANy other recommendations!!
