Defrag isn't defragging - heck it won't even run off the command line!

What's required to get Defrag.exe on my Vista machine? When I go to the command line, and try to run degrag, it tells me something about a missing DLL. Not sure if Defrag from and XP machine is that same as the Vista version. I figure I've got to at least defrag it, as I'm getting random disk errors.

why don't you try a free defrag software? or one that offers a free trial?

Welcome to Major Geeks, the both of you.
Plenty of good third party defraggers to choose from.
My personal choice is Ultimate Defrag (Free Domain version).

    Thanks hrlow2
I use OO Defrag but I believe is a paid version. Works very well for me. Just remembered to run a defrag session on my HDD :)

Can you run Ultimate Defrag from the command line? As things are unstable, once I get in to Vista, I want to try to defrag off the command line.

I just run from the desktop icon.
Don't know about a command line option.
